    I have Golden Globe , Kampong & Mac’s Golden White Sapote. I don’t know the taste of them yet as they have not fruited yet they are fence height so should get fruit this year. They are a bit squashed for room with other trees but I have to work with the room I have got in the Garden. Mac’s Golden is not fence height as it bloody slow growing. How’s your Mac Golden ? Did I missed it in the video? I remember yours from another video as my tree was the same size I must have got it from Daley’s the same year. I am thinking of getting a Suebelle and Hawaiian Supreme due to your videos. If I can find space for them. A lot of my trees are squashed in around fence lines making a food forest most likely to close to one another for space but they do protect one another by doing it that way. I will need to prune them to keep them the size I want even if that means losing fruit lost.

      I take off heaps of fruit each year, as my trees are heavy bearers. My Macs Golden is tiny, slow growing, and was idle for over a year! Kampongs taste is excellent. I haven't tried Golden Globe or Reineke varieties.

    Great video as usual, i always suspected the taste between most of the varieties wouldn't vary a huge amount , rather like Feijoa varieties 😁. Just as well since availability in Europe is close to zero 😂

      That's right, Brett. I've had only two distinctive flavours so far.

    I got my first crop of Wilson Sapote, and will be selling them at the local farmers market in Southern California and wonder what price per pound to sell them. Any idea?

      No idea with pounds. Australia and the rest of the world do kilos.

    Do you have the Kampong? I’ve got a small backyard and only got room for one White Sapote & I’m told the Kampong is the only self pollinating variety. Does the Kampong taste good like the other varieties?

    • @RealLifeFruitopia
      @RealLifeFruitopia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I dont have Kampong, but I've tasted it. It's a good choice, on par with Suebelle for size and taste. I'm not sure how prolific it is, though.

    You should plant a grafted Rainbow white sapote. I have heard it is the best tasting so it would be interesting to hear how it compares to your other ones. daleysfruits sold it at one time.

    Here in FL we have the following white sapote varieties: Campbell, Densler, McDill, Redland, Suebell and Younghans. I would like 2 know if you can put me in touch with a nursery or someone who may have Austrailian varieties that we do not have in Florida.

    • @RealLifeFruitopia

      I think most varieties sold in Australia are originally from California/USA. You can search for Daleys online nursery.

    By the way my friend George you know those white sapotes that Ping picked and a car full of white sapotes that you gave to her they would have cost her a fortune do you know before Covid at market place they were selling them for $30 dollars a kilo if a fruit waded at 500 grams that you cost them $15 dollars each or if they were 300 hundred grams or so a fruit they would have costed $10 dollars each when l saw them l brought all of them some were quite soft ,some where hard they were from the Barossa valley in Western Australia and they came with soft styrofoam socks they looked good but lacked in flavour they were no way in the world as good as yours the best ones l tasted were at Doctor Louis Glowinskis private home and 31 year old seedling was a big disappointment very small fruit like l told you before never ever plant seedling if you got no other choice cheers from Eddie the wild jungle fruit hunter ❤😊🎉
