usually I come here for the comedy but Nick Murphy on this episode freaking ascended the level of skill here on display was amazing if I ever meet Nick Murphy in real life I'm giving that dude a medal cause after doing what he did here he deserves nothing less well played my dude!
Man there were so many Epic Maneuvers™ this episode, I kinda wish they woulda busted out the classic "Ghost Love Score" riff. Not complaining about the outstanding pro gamer epicness on display, just nostalgic.
one thing I think you guys have done really well this year is the audio. It always seems , and sounds, just as natural and normal as if you’re in the room together. Whatever actual equipment you guys are using is working well. Thanks for all the hard work and great content. What a performance by nick.
Continue Day is the best day. And Nick, thanks for being so epic. The "epic move" music should have played through the whole thing! Haha. Thanks so much for the weekly entertainment!
The background and foreground art in this game is amaze-oids even todayay! 0:49 / 0:54 Yes, they did have fireworks in England as early as the late 1200s. They were launched out of a thing that looks like that Orca bomb launcher from Killing Floor. *Note:* Arthurian legend takes place several hundred years before that. Something like the late 400s or early 500s. 2:35 I've never understood the logic behind the double-jump unless your character visibly has repulsor lifts or booster-majigs on their legs or whatnot. 2:56 It never occurred to be before, but why does the money - which is no doubt in silver or gold coin - displayed with a US dollar sign in medieval England? 3:09 Why do those coffins bear the Egyptian ankh if this takes place in medieval England during the time of King Arthur? 4:24 They don't call him "Arthur Pendragon" for nothing! 8:04 That part always reminded me of Life Force. 8:51 Cockatrice. Now that's a creature that fits in a medieval English setting. 14:10 Technically, dirks were more associated with Scotland and wouldn't have been standard armament til about a millennium after the time of Arthur.
Space above and beyond is great! Particularly given each episode probably cost $6 and some sandwiches to make hahaha. The bit where one of the soldiers pretends to do a plumbing drill as the colonel is golden. "And one more thing... it's okay to be scared" *notices colonel behind him* "It's the highest form of flattery, sir"
Holy crap, flashbacks to my childhood. Mom rented us this during a time I had an ear infection. It was very difficult for me to navigate those rafts on stage 2.
Played this game alot but never got transformed into a bee. First time I actually see it. Became baby, seal and little girl but never bee. Favorite weapon for sure being the crossbow/bow & arrow, one of the reasons is of the Gold Armor's ability. It doesn't change enemies into chests (though it would've been nice I'll admit, lol). Instead it makes a hidden chest pop up, because yes you'll need to find those chests for something. Not spoiling anything.
If you perform an attack during a double jump it will be twice as powerful, this is indicated by the projectile flashing. Could help with those winged demons later on with the homing bow.
I've only seen the second level of this game on You Tube i never got to it but working on it. I didn't get far in this game as a kid but still enjoy the game today. This game is tough as nails at certain points. Love the graphic style, level design, sound effects and sound track.
The Continue train keeps going, hop on! 🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋🚃 Make your way to The Caboose Cafe for today's special: Philly cheesesteak with deep fried George Washington era fireworks (double-breaded to make them edible, don't worry)
See, this is the kind of game I never got to play as a kid, I was always told busy playing Ninja Turtles or Aladdin or Lion King, wish I would have had friends who were cool enough to have these kind off games back then.
One of my favorites growing up! Playing SNES games with mom during middle school years lol! This and Donkey Kong Country games are the best memories I have of those days ☺️
I played the shit out of this game as a lad. Never got passed the first level, thought. 'Till one day I decided "Fuck it!" and got to like level 5. Gave up because I had axes and there's an enemy right in front of you on the second half of that level. Also, the noise that came out of Josh's mouth at the end was hilarious.
This game was tenacious. Borrowed it from some old friends and had it until we moved. Who can say they survived the Chimera boss in the Ghoul's Stomach level. If I remember correctly I didn't take a hit either. On the way there is a different story...
Several years ago I really tried to actually play this game. I think it was a port for the Sega Saturn. I made it farther than I ever had before, but it's still impossible and I never finished it. I just rewatched the "seceral years ago" episode I put out ... which was over 11 years ago... and I made it to the desert level, however far that is.
That is definitely usually the case. That or the crossbow. Although there are a few moments where other weapons can be very useful. There's one part in particular during stage 3 where I find myself desperately hoping for the flame. And yes, I'm well aware of AVGN's advice.
I still need to beat it a second time someday so I can be convinced that the first time wasn't just luck, but when struggling it can take quite awhile to get through both runs for a game without passwords.
Aaah this game was my jam growing up, mom bought me the game from one of her coworkers whose son couldn't beat level 1. I managed to get to endgame and mom told her coworker and she was like WHAAAAT? Good times lol
There's another comment on this video of somebody saying they've never seen the game's second level. Coincidence? Definitely probably. Interesting? Maybe.
First off, welcome back. We can’t play in the same room together because of Coronavirus so we thought animating ourselves would be a fun way to do the show.
I've never seen the second level of this game, that alone deserves the highest praise to the real Game Genie amongst us, Nicholas Murphy
Haha and that was playing remotely! It’s a Halloween miracle!
@@ContinueShow He's blessed by The Great Pumpkin.
It is a tough game, so, yeah. My favorite level is the fourth one though you might not like it, if you're easily seasick, lol.

20:03 cue the Epic Maneuver music!
They need to bring those back.
Ghost Love Score solo FTW :P
I applauded alone in my dark kitchen at the epic maneuver at the very end. Well done.
When I saw the game today I thought they'd lose HARD. I'm surprised by how well Nick played.
Call me old and nostalgic, but the NES & SNES Continue episodes always make me feel especially good :)
The moment I hear josh’s voice, my day immediately because better!
Because?
Cuz JOSH!!! :P

What a performance by nick.
I've played this game many times, and never once seen the jester's transformation magic turn Arthur into a bee.
Love y’all so much can’t wait to see you guys together again when it’s safe
This game is classic, but insanely difficult. I bow down to the Continue Lord Murphy.
Continue Day is the best day. And Nick, thanks for being so epic. The "epic move" music should have played through the whole thing! Haha. Thanks so much for the weekly entertainment!
This looks very different in Beginner mode, a lot of enemies are missing. Grats to Nick for sticking through it all the way to the 3rd level.
This is really an underrated video Nick pulls out all the stops here
I could have watched so much more of this, Nick was on fire with this performance!
The background and foreground art in this game is amaze-oids even todayay!

Didn't expect an episode of 'tinue to be one of the most tense experiences this halloween. Well played, Nick.
I'm loving the new joke of avoiding animating as much as possible
This was a very tense episode. Good work guys
"POSAIDON, SHOW YOUSELF"
Damn Nick is a beast at this game! Also, "Not as cool as killing." - Paul Ritchey 2020
Hey continue I love your show never stop uploading
Can't stop, won't stop.
17:49 I actually screamed out aloud in abject horror.
This is the best performance of Ghouls 'n Ghosts I've ever seen. Hero points earned!

I can't believe y'all didn't play the epic maneuver jingle in this episode. :P But Nick is so awesome, the entire episode is an epic maneuver. :>
I, for one, miss Epic Maneuvers. 16:03 - 16:05 would've been a perfect contender for one.
Sid vicious bird got me. Best episode in a while.
Holy crap, flashbacks to my childhood. Mom rented us this during a time I had an ear infection. It was very difficult for me to navigate those rafts on stage 2.
That was a solid performance, Nick! MVP! MVP!

Paul was on a real DBZ kick this episode; and I'm not complaining :)

I can count how many times I've made it to Sid Vicious Hawk on one hand. I kneel before our new king
Another classic episode!

Hell yeah.
Nick begins to charge up and right at the moment of (dragon) release TH-cam showed me an ad pepperoni, the ultimate technique?

Spooky Fantasy Mooooooonth!!!!!
I've beaten the game at least 10 times. I know it's crazy, but I do like the game.
I still need to beat it a second time someday so I can be convinced that the first time wasn't just luck, but when struggling it can take quite awhile to get through both runs for a game without passwords.

Is anybody else kinda gonna miss animated Paul nick and josh when the pandemic is over?
I'm just left wondering what development we'll see regarding Paul's mustache when that day comes.
Awwww yeah.
Nick Murphey is a fuckin GOD
the more they talk about dragon ball, the more I need them to play another dragon ball game.
Hardest game, Nick Murphy. Good to go.
Reverse turner vision sent me

@@ContinueShow Oh, I see. Good idea.
@@ContinueShow I figured a wizard turned you guys into beings that resemble cartoons as a result of some Fantasy Month shenanigans.
