this is in my opinion the best car. the 911 991.2 GT2 RS. my absolute favourite car! been soo lucky to have seen quite a few and sit in one but yet to have got a ride in one!
Great video my friend! These composite models are definitely getting better and better with time! Just ordered the silver one. This blue color is stunning though!
Be patient my friend. The same happened with the Lambo SVJ. They sold out quickly and AA produced more of them. Don't pay a crazy premium for what's out there now. It's way too soon.
@@diecastden I got an anniversary gift from my wife. First diecast! Porsche 911 (997) RS 3.8 (78142) AUTOart - Grey Black with white/gold metallic stripes. Absolutely love it but she paid premium. I’m now hooked.
Great review Den! I'm curious as to where to get that turntable you use? For reference, on the real RS cars laughable as it is the hood emblem is in fact a decal "to save weight"! 😆 Just recently finding this model, I decided I had to have one! Roughly a yr later, on Ebay at least most of these are stlill commandng a high price typically slightly over $200 new to $400+. Even w/quite a few available. But none used. I was torn between your Miami Blue & GT Silver, leaning to the latter partly for that more colorful interior. Then I came across a seller with both Acid Green & Black sealed NIB for $176 & 179 respectively. Generally I don't do black cars as it can be harder to see the body lines, but again that interior won out! And as you said the CF sure does look impressive, Against the black even more I think. With those white gold rims i think it'll be quite the Black & Gold combo...in fact I plan to pretend it's the modern rendition of the Bandit Trans Am if the movie got made today! 😆 One final ?, do you know if AA also just like the real cars did 2 shades of the gold magnesium rims? They sure look richer in color on yours & the silver. More subdued on the black. I know on the real cars there are in fact 2 shades, white gold & the much richer aurum. If by slim chance the red seatbelts are improved from the disappointment you noted I'll report back. I also noted the door pull straps are much wider than the real car. Guess we can't have it all, but no doubt for those of us can't afford the real car this is as close as we're going to get to the real thing! Other amazing details are the labeled distilled water injection tank in front is CF just like the real car. In case you missed it they even accurately reproduced the complex engine cover hinges! I'm very curious to see if they too are CF just like the real car. I'm so excited to get mine. Cheers!
Thank you for your thoughts and comments! You can find the "turntable" on Ebay. As far as the rims, I am not sure as I was solely focused on getting the Miami Blue. It is my favorite color on the GT2 RS and did not pay much attention to the other color options. They all look spectacular and you can never go wrong in black!
This colour fits perfect on the 911, you really made a great choice. I also want a Porsche 911 GT 2/3, but my budget is only for the cheap ones like Bburago or Maisto. (hope for a Solido ... if they will ever make it)
Love your review brother. I have a question for you. Do you own the Autoart GT3 RS? I have both GT2 and GT3 in Miami Blue, and the colors are different. Have you noticed that? I feel like the GT3 Miami Blue was more true to the real color than the GT2. The GT2 is a little more dark. Was wondering if you know anything about that? Thank you for the great review.
Not sure. I don't own the GT3 as I was waiting for GT2 knowing that I would prefer that model. The color differences (my opinion) I believe are more due to the finishing being improved in AutoArt's more recent models.
Love your style of reviews, very different then mine. I've been wanting to get into AutoArt as well but I mostly review Formula 1 models. Do you have the 1/18 99T Lotus AutoArt car driven by Ayrton Senna?

Just bought this one... and love it!!
Just wish they would hurry up and make the latest GT3....

Yeah, I was torn between the blue and gold, but the blue color is so unique on the Porsche.
Awesome level of detail! One of the best collector reviews and + for the extra info! I’ve been looking for one but they are sold out. 😢

@@RunN1st9 Congrats! Welcome into the fold!
Check out ebay more. I found a lot of models that were sold out on their site on there. You can also get them for lower prices

Solido has been really impressive lately for those on a budget.
