    To the weirdos in the comments, the staff needs to be aware of when she's coming to assist her with getting into the pod.
    So instead of coming and waiting in life, she basically made a reservation.
    Furthermore, some disabled people may genuinly be unable to wait in a line for a long time.
    These things aren't privileges in the same way the wheelchair isn't a privilege - it's just accomodations so that she can safely get the same experience everyone else does.

    I went on the London eye probably around the same time u did and stayed in a hotel that was a 5 min walk to get to it. As someone who is terrified of heights this was the worst for me. It wasn’t helpful with the glass flooring since I kept looking down and scaring myself more 😂 and I kept falling over on the London eye and for the rest of the night 😅

      For disabled people it can be difficult or impossible to move along with a line. I know certain places allow for disabled people or people who get sensory overload to wait in a different area, this is not one of those places. Considering this area doesn’t have that place it’s easier to just allow them to skip the line. This also may make it easier for them to know when to set up ramp and ensure that you’re the first on.

    • @maddyocean5948
      @maddyocean5948 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      some people can’t stand or sit still in places for a long time without fainting or getting sick. i have POTS, i faint if i’m upright to long and it’s disabling. i would need it to stay comfortable and not faint in public. for other people it’s pain.

      … I use a cane and get this ‘luxury’ (struggle) sometimes. YOU try walking through a cue like in my instance with afo and cables up my legs, or try maneuvering through tight spaces in a chair like her, then we can talk. If they made cues accessible for ALL, i’d happily stand in line, but i have to be dragged to the front like a freakshow alot of the time all because my feet aren’t straight and i can’t stand long periods without a cane. I’ll ask to stand and wait, they say its a liability if i were to stand in line and get hurt from falling over. Be glad this isn’t an issue you deal with, you get to stand like everyone else. Stop seeing things us disabiled people do as luck, when i’d much rather be like you and wait but life isn’t that easy. Ive been tripped, kicked, spit on by similar complainers just like you, just because a member at amusement parks tell me i HAVE TO go in the front or not ride.

    • @averagetomfoolery
      @averagetomfoolery 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      you’ve got it misunderstood, it’s not that some of us disabled people don’t have to stand in line, it’s that we can’t. you may think it’s a privilege, but it isn’t.
      i have a tag for my school’s elevator, it’s a 6 story building and only teachers and those with tags can use the elevator. to other students, it might seem like a privilege that i don’t need to use the stairs, but that’s not true. when the elevator is out of service, i can’t get to class. it isn’t a choice, i’d rather be able to walk up the stairs, if i was capable of that again it’d mean i’d be pain-free again, but i’m not and i never will be. for the rest of my life, 24/7, i will be in pain. i will have to miss out on activities i love, i will have to give up activities i’ve loved because i will be unable to do them anymore. that is not a choice. there’s nothing fun about that. the difference is you can walk up those stairs, and so not needing to is a privilege to you. you can stand and wait in line for hours, and so not needing to is a privilege to you. not getting to skip the line or take the elevator is an inconvenience to you, not getting to skip the line or take the elevator can be the difference between getting to go on a ride/do something fun or getting an education.
      our accommodations are not privileges just because they seem convenient from your perspective.
