You absolutely made me laugh a very rare performance of Judi Dench in hr younger years but as she grows older gracefully is still the icon in my opinion and one of the most talented of actesst's. Made my day enjoyable thanks.
Great to find this. I saw the very first performance at Stratford in 78. Judi Dench dried, and the prompter's voice was audible right up in the balcony. Very clever and entertaining production. Is there any more of it available?
Dear Bex8484! Could you please upload the whole show! :-) I saw this in 1976 and fell in love with this version. I contacted the Royal Shakespeare company and they do not have it.
Why can I not find this on DVD? I guess it was never released. Do you have the rest of the film? If you do can you please please upload the whole thing? I just love it soooooo much!
Judi Dench and Francesca Annis have about the opposite hair colors from the shows I'm more used to seeing them in. ^___^ Okay, they look cute that way too. But I'm beginning to be not sure any more what either one's real hair color is or was. 🤔 Gray by now anyway. 😉😜😘
@kwebster640 Wow, that must have come out pretty recently, I searched for ages. I would definitely follow your advice, but some lovely people saw my post on this video and sent me a DVD copy of the comedy of errors completely for free, and now I can watch it whenever I feel down! Then they sent me all sorts of other Shakespeares on dvd just because I said what huge fan I was. I truly love this production and I wish I'd seen it live, though I have a feeling I wasn't alive yet!
I didn't know this was that old. No wonder everyone looks so young. I first saw this in the early 1990's. Without even realizing or noticing that it was already old then. I think that must have been when it first made it to American television. And to think that the British television viewers complain about getting our stuff so late. Um. Try *fifteen years* late. @___@

There is no COE production to hold a candle to this one. I am directing it right now with a great cast but even so........
I did nothing. Not to should like a creeper but could I buy a copy off you? I started rehearsals today and anything would help:)
look on ebay. you might get a copy in video. I have, it's great.
I just played Adriana, and the best way to play it is how you think it should be done.
