Nah I work at that factory. There’s a lot more work then they show here. Pretty hot and uncomfortable back there especially when running around that machine for 12 hours straight.

Any glass maker would recycle broken or damaged pieces if possible. It is very easy to do on site.

I'm a chemistry graduate, and I did a project based around special types of glass last semester. It was really cool to synthesize our own glasses, every step of the way :-) The basics of it is really quite simple, and I still cherish the memory of my "first-born" glass, that was sadly crushed to a powder. May it rest in pieces :'-(

Thank you for this video. Before, all I knew about how glass is made is that you need sand and you need to heat it up to a high temperature. I saw how glass is made in a cartoon and in Minecraft. This video helped me quench my curiosity.
