- I'm having a day out with my daughter today at Barry Island Beach. :) We take the train down for the afternoon, enjoy a delicious pizza and chai lattes in Cadwaladers Ice-cream parlour (which I apparently can't pronounce), a stroll along the cliff top to Jackson's Bay and back in time for a trip to Hyper Value, a session in an amusement arcade on the 2pm machines and an ice-cream with a view of the beach, undercover from the rain. It wouldn't be a Planet Imo vlog without a trip to Greggs at the end too, as we waited for our cancelled and delayed trains!!

No mater how many times you visit Barry Island, rain or shine every time is different. I was there today on Thursday 10 August 2023. The weather was great and so busy.

That cafe had a pretty decent vegan selection, and pet friendly, too.. perfect.
The colourful little seaside shops really reminded me of school holiday trips with my grandparents in the 80’s and 90’s. Gave me a real case of the warm and fuzzies ❤

We had a day out at Barry Island on the end of May bank holiday. I hadn’t been there since I was a child and it’s only about an hour away and the most ridiculous thing is that it was my 14 year old’s first time in Wales and yet the bridge is literally 40 minutes from our house. We will definitely go again, we thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Wish I could replicate that here to have a grand day out once in a while. Peach ice cream yum! Had black cherry flavor last week. It is pink with bits of cherries.

spent a whole day at Barry Island. went there a bit because of the Gavin and Stacey stuff 😹 it was sunny but very windy. had the same walks you had with your daughter. bought a magnet at Hyper Value. had some fish and chips. and when going back to the station went into a small "museum". 2 charming people were explaining WW2 in wales. so interesting. oh and i lost 2p at the 2p machine lol
