SV Rangarao was one of the finest actors of our times. His talent was unparalleled. He was an educated artist who excelled in all kinds of roles- mythology, folk, social, action, comedy, pathos. If he was in Bombay or Hollywood would have been treated in parallel with the lines of Balraj Sahni or Motilal. In Kannada too, on pure talent alone.. Uday Kumar, Balakrishna, Narasimharaju were on par with Rajkumar. Just that Rajkumar had an extraordinary personality that took him beyond the rest. Mr Ramkumar is a treasure trove of information and trivia. Mr Manjunath is a fine presenter with great control on the medium and beyond all both possess immense love for cinema and Rajkumar in particular

With all due respect Ramkumar sir, Your memory to recall every detail of incidents of meeting with S.V. Ranga rao sir and other legendary actors is fascinating. S. V. Ranga rao died in 1974 and it's been 48 years since his death but you remember each and every incident. I wish that God should keep your memory intact forever. However, I am having certain questions to ask and please kindly don't mind if these questions appear little critical. Sir, why didn't you document all the incidents and discussions with legends of other film industries about Dr. Rajkumar and publish a book. If you had published such book when Dr. Rajkumar was alive or atleast during the years immediately following his death, those discussions and opinions of Dr. Rajkumar by other legendary actors would have been very well appreciated far and wide karnataka and even other places. You're recalling and telling the discussions only orally and I think the authenticity would be better if documented and published rather than oral discussions. I hope atleast now Total Kannada channel can assist Ramkumar sir to document and publish as a book. This can really help lots of Dr. Rajkumar historians, writers and even enthusiastic fans in many years following now.
In our country we choose to glorify only those who are glamorous and in pole position. Genuine talents don’t merit the same adoration. Genuine movie lovers should look at our Balakrishna to get a measure of his brilliance. If the government had helped him save his studio and promoted it , would have died a happy soul. He deserved to be treated in the sane way Punith is being treated post his death. Someone who was an orphan, rose from the deepest poverty , with no hearing abilities and on pure talent made a mark for himself and built a studio for Kannada cinema. Sadly he died in penury
Please question the actresses who became MLCs, MLAs, and ministers on the basis of the film industry only, it was Ravichandran and Rajkumar who utilized Balakrishna's studio for their movies, no other heroes or producers were willing to come to Abhiman Studios, at the time the Kannada industry shifted to Bangalore, the trend of shooting movies in studios was declining. Except for Devegowda, Ramakrishna Hegde, and Gundurao, no other Chief minister did anything for the film industry. The government should at least clear the encroachment by private developers and politicians and utilize the land for KFI.
