Loose ammo in a box should be okay, maximizes the storage by removing the plastic cartridge holder and boxes. However(you knew there would be one lol) you may consider writing down the lot number and such from the boxes you empty the loose ammo from, just in case you run into any issues with the ammo, the manufacturer can check by the lot number or batch and see what went wrong.
