- Ascent of sap in plants is the phenomena where the water and dissolve substances move uphill from root xylem to leaf xylem through stem xylem. There are various models explained this process but cohesion tension theory by Dixon providing more reasonable description. In this lecture video you will find the detailed description of cohesion tension theory.
