I have 1 camera out of many that fails to upgrade. I bought them all new at the same time, all models are the same. All the other cameras works perfectly fine and had multiple updates since I bought it. I tried it via cloud, disk, and windows uniview desktop app, I even logged directly into the camera and tried it that way. The other cameras has newer features and the image quality looks way better than when I first got it. I'm just struggling with the one and already got in touch with uniview. They just sent me the file to upgrade via disk which didn't work. It just keeps failing to update but still works.
From where you can download Local Firmware ? You didn't mention that step, and the link in your bio is not working (expired).
