Thanks, Lou. And thanks to Mr. Weiner for showing one beautiful car. Back in the day, a friend of a friend came to pick us up in his 63 Corvette. There were more of us than he thought. I crowded into the very back of the car, and stared out the split window. He apologized for me having to ride back there, but I assured him that it was the best seat in the car. Gladly we didn't go far, but I loved the ride.
"We like rowdy. Rowdy is good!" It certainly is, big bro Lou. WOW!!! This achingly beautiful Corvette just has me crazy, man. lol 🤣🤪So crazy that I just put on my Robin costume (Burt Ward replica. I was Robin EVERY Halloween in high school in the mid-late 80's, Lou. To say the chicks kinda dug it was an understatement 😜), and POW!!!! That's me being carried over John Marria's shoulder (that guy just loves to knock me out😵😵) in the distance in that field, big bro! My limp middle aged White Boy flesh colored stocking feet and legs swaying in time to Marria's steps, my green Robin slippers in his free hand, a snicker mean grin on Marria's still ugly face lol 😜😜. Maybe you and Larry (what an AWESOME man's man car guy he is! Hilarious!) can rescue me at some point, man. But I know this 'Vette has you both in her charms and they are Legion. Legendary. Those curves....WOW! My hyper stocking feet would be up and twitching if I wasn't already knocked out and over Marria's shoulder, Lou😉. Holy cow!!!! Such a pleasure to see you there grinning and laughing, bombing through that lovely landscape, big bro! Bringing us along for the ride, too! Thanks Lou, JV Johnny ⚾⚾
Hey JV Johnny, Lou is happy to get rowdy with you :-) Ahhh the Split Window to rescue JV Johnny from Marria's shoulder carry....I guess once we take you off his shoulder, we'll...split :-) My pleasure sharing with you. You're welcome, Lou
Yō Lou! Very tastefully done, a real Road Rocket. The C2's were a little rough riding but had great acceleration and eye appeal. This man has a real classic. I like the way he did the engine. The wheels with the knock off spinners seal the deal.
Wow What a great car I always like the Looks and style are the 63 split window Corvette and this one is no exception it sounds like it has an attitude which is good😊😊
Thanks Lou for sharing this fantastic piece of American muscle car history with us. I would take this over any modern day muscle car in a heartbeat 💓 all day long.
My uncle was a mechanic and one day he worked on one of these. I was about 5 years old. He gave me a ride to test drive it and he taped a $20 bill to the dash and said I could have it if I could reach it. I was pushed so far into the seat there was no way of reaching the $. I became a car enthusiast on that day.
My best friend as a kid's dad had a 63. In White. It was fun going for rides. I sat in the back. Basically lying down..lol. good times!! Great car. Great episode.
gorgeous car, well done Larry and Lou. I love the chambered exhaust side pipes...have them on my 74. only problem is that you wanna listen to them all the time, so have to force not booting it all the time!
"It's a little rowdy" is right. More than a little! Cool that it's an early build '63 and still survives. Knock offs, side pipes, a 5-speed. What's not to like? This one's quite unique. Glad to see Larry added some personal touches and built the car he wanted, as this '63 was never going to be 100% original anyway. (If I had any C2 Corvette I would be hard pressed to NOT add a Stinger hood, for example.) Sounds ferocious too. Thanks Lou!!
OK, wow! I love this Corvette for everything it is, and everything it isn't. Mr. Weiner's upgrades are tastefully done, and this '63 is ready for the road and plenty of smiles as it eats up the miles. What a fun visit! Thanks, Lou!
My favourite Vette yrs is the C2, 1963-67 BUT it has to be a coupe and a 4 speed with nothing more than a 327-4 barrel carb. CE means crate engine and will have a date and year stamped on it. A Holley 750 with vacuum secondaries is all you need for that engine.
Lou, This was and is my only ever want..these 63's are the best of the C-2's..as for the 'split in the rear window it is part of the design..the continuum of the stingray tail..shouldn't be any other way..disregard the panty-wastes that don't like it..Thnx for featuring it Lou!
I love the 327 small block G.M. motor! I had one in my 77' Oldsmobile Omega. It had a 4 barrel carburetor, racing cam., headers with dual exhaust.. It did great in the quarter mile.. 3 speed hydromatic transmission.. Pozzy rear end..
Fantastic cruise section Lou! Listening to the Vette's engine and your camera work on that twisting two lane road made me feel like I was along for the ride!
Takeaway the yellow stripes that could be in Scotland. It looks kinda like where I live, landscape and road wise. I love that Larry uses it. Larry gouging on it near the end 😀 the plus of non matching numbers. Also, like how he was into telling us the info. This 63 Corvette and the Cheers Malone 67 427 Big Block both tastefully modified.
That driving sound should be captured in a cologne. This video could have been eight hours long and I I would have watched it entirely just for the driving sounds. And yes, this will put babies to sleep, but keep mothers on high alert about the dad doing the manual labor behind the wheel. This is one mean restomod, Lou, and it looks so good!
I think he also has the Nickey Camaro, I love the cars but I think I'm more jealous of the neighborhood and roads you're on. In my neck of the woods, far away from you lucky fellas, every time I take my car out within 2 minutes someone in a loud import is riding my bumper wanting to race me.
@loucostabile yeah they are, I taught myself to ignore them otherwise I'd end up with bald back tires and a stack of tickets. The police in my area are fed up with the Honda's and and loud BMWs more then I am..😟
Lou, very nice! Had a 66 once only it had a glide. One suggestion. At times its hard to understand what the owners are saying. Could you outfit both you and them with a good lapel mic. Would make for a better video viewing experience.
JonH3234, Happy to read this car brings back memories of your 66 :-) That's a good idea, however I kinda like when the car drowns us out. Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
Wow, I love it!! Modified just enough to make it a champ and not overdone. And Larry, gotta love Larry not only for what he did but for how he drives it too. I think that's the best ride I've seen yet. Thanks again Lou, keep'em coming. 👍
Wow! That is an iconic Corvette! Beautiful car - something you cannot say about that bloated expensive garbage that Chevrolet has to offer - the 2025 Shamvette. Great video, Lou! I had to come back and add - oh, the sound of that engine! You'll never get that in a new golf cart regardless of who makes it.
Yep! “rowdy” is the perfect word! This year is my favorite Corvette as well as 1953-1957 models. A feller and his Corvette do not need to be “numbers correct”……just “entertaining”! One of my favorite “My Car Story” episodes as well as the 1958 and prior Cadillacs. Thank you Lou and Larry!
Hi Steven, Happy to share this "rowdy" car with you :-) Glad to read "This year is my favorite Corvette as well as 1953-1957 models", NICE! Hope you enjoy this episode again and again. You're welcome, Lou
My 07' Honda 2.4 liter V-Tech engine is 9.65:1 on compression and it runs great on 87 octane... Why does this 327 with a 10:1 compression ratio have to have 92 octane?
Drove one in Chicago while in college 1966. Owned by roommates future bro in laws. Baby blue and same int.300 HP four speed. Sorry nice car but a disappointment. Performance and ergonomics not what I expected. was used to our 1965 Pontiac Catalina 300 HP with turbo hydrostatic. Was not only faster than that Vette was FAR more comfortable.
Hi, If you like this video, please click on SUPER THANKS ❤ with the $ in the middle which is the SUPER THANKS button under the video. Thank you! Lou
What a machine. Looks like he's having fun with it.
I agree, Larry is having fun with it :-)
Best looking Classic Vette,I am not fussy about originality, and the 5 speed serves the senses and the car well,it sounds like thunder too.Loved it.
My dream car, Larry built it perfect! Only could be better if I owned it!
High praise.
I can't envision any of todays cars looking as good as this car does 60 years later, and stirring up excitement as much as this one does. So cool
"I can't envision any of todays cars looking as good as this car does 60 years later" High praise.
Very iconic Corvette. Love them sidepipes. Love the split window. Thanks guys
Happy to read the details you love :-) You're welcome John.

You're right.

Lol. That was the PERFECT road for that car. Fabulous
Happy to share the ride experience with you :-)
Larry,
This is the spec.
The small block stingray is the icon of the era.
Hi Douglas, Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou

The 1963 was the best Corvette Ever. I like the Corvettes between 1963 until the late 70s, but the 63 with the split back windows 🪟, The Best indeed.
"The 1963 was the best Corvette Ever" NICE!

That sound is a good one :-)
SPLENDID

Thanks
You're welcome.

Stock is great, but this Corvette's modifications are done with taste and make a driver's everyday car with a twist. I wouldn't mess with him!
"this Corvette's modifications are done with taste and make a driver's everyday car with a twist." I agree.
Sheer beauty

I agree.
Beautiful corvette Lou God Bless.
Hi Leroy, Happy to read you enjoy the looks of this car :-) Blessings received. God bless you too, Lou
So it isnt orginal.
It's original, and some extras. No, it's not all like it came from the Factory.
Sounds rough
....it is :-)

Only in America...
Thanks for viewing and sharing.
Wray we have here is a Restomod
Correct.
Wow your channel is still around🤷♂️
....seems so.
A classic of classics. Too bad about the styling change in '68!
