MAJOR Shower Tip!! - Make the walk to the Blueberry Camp Showers, there is never a line and they are always so clean! The walk really isn’t far and you skip the huge line
Talk to everyone and choose your adventure are the two biggest ones for me. My favorite parts of our entire weekend will forever be the random encounters and experiences we had just from running around, exploring and talking to random people.
Another MAJOR tip -- just camp far away in GA (towards blueberry) and TAKE THE SHUTTLE to the Music Venue entrance. Right next to our GA Camp site, all the way in the back, with clean facilities, a bus would pick us up for FREE and bring us to the music entrance. We never walked far to get to music ever
My top tip is campsite setup! You can get reflective tarps for over your tent and string them from the canopy side out over the tent. Then you have your canopy space for hanging! Also tightly zip-tying tapestries down on all four sides really makes the space cooler. Comfy campsite = better fest for me lol
I'd like to add, you had literally perfect weather for your first Forest, 2022 was not the norm. We usually get a decent amount of rain and the occasional thunderstorm, so prepare for that. Tarps for your tent, towels, backup clothes if everything gets drenched. My first Forest in 2017 I showed up and had to set up camp in a swamp.
I guess my tip is that ( if they can afford it) folks should def consider trying to splurge for Good Life! It’s def a splurge but 100% worth it!!! The good life experience was incredible! Having a yurt, private air conditioned bathrooms, private showers and a separate entrance was soooooo nice! Not having to drag camping stuff around was a huge stress relief too! 💜💜 can’t wait to go back in a few years!
I’m so sorry you experienced what happened at Tripolee but I’m so proud of you for ACTING and doing your part. That was a very scary and traumatic situation :(
So I haven't been to EF, but I did camp at Okeechobee last year and I kinda had a DIY bathing situation that worked really well. I brought a little plastic storage tub, shower gel, and those shower glove thingies. I put on a bikini, put some water and shower gel in the tub, put the gloves on, and then all I had to do was stick my hands in the soapy water and wipe myself completely down just as if I was in the shower. I would just dump that water and fill it with fresh water to rinse. I bathed this way everyday at Okee and it was perfect. ALSO - for any camping fests in general - TRAVEL JOHN!!! This was the best camping tip I got before I went and it was the best thing I brought. When I wake up, I gotta GO and waking up in that blazing hot sun in the morning was so disorienting. It helped that I didn't have to get out of the tent and rush to the nearest Porta potties. Just used one of those every morning and now I have all the extras in my car in case I ever get in a bind there 😄
Yeah I've been to 2 forest and DUDE. Canopy, you need it just spend the money. Its so god damn hot. Wear shoes that are actually comfortable. My docs messed my feet up so bad that i bought those hemp shoes bc i literally couldnt stand anymore the pain was so bad. The dust is WILD. Bring a pash. Fuck the showers lol get a gravity private shower for your campsite. No line, you can shower literally whenever. Everyone can just take turns refilling water. And yeah the sets are important but dont stress it! The forest is so amazing. You really want to spend time in there. So many beautiful little things and so much thought put into the space. And forest has some of the most down to earth people there, i felt so safe. My phone didnt have service at all but i never felt unsafe if i was alone.
We were in camp Amp, the map directed us to exit via north gate. We were in line by 10:30am and it took us 5 and a half hours til we were finally out 😭. We also had an 8 hour drive after that….So my tip is (on top of leaving early!) to try to get as close as you can to a main artery of traffic without cutting people off. Hopefully they address this issue next time and it’s moot. Because that was unacceptable….
Same here i was next to the bear and we were waiting to get out for 4.5 hrs, had a 12 hr car ride and i got home at 6:30 am and had to leave for school at 7:25 LMAO then had another concert that night 😂 so dead
Just want to say this, when it comes to helping someone who collapses and needs medical attention, not everyone overdoses and needs narcan. Some people just straight up could be severely dehydrated or overheated. People on mdma that fall definitely do not need narcan. Make sure you know before you give them more drugs
What tips would you give to a first timer at Forest?

@lexie Rule #1... Never skip the cork party!!! 🤪
Bringing gifts is a must! I also always bring my HomeFi hotspot for when the venue is remote and service is spotty, it's a lifesaver.

Super helpful! First time going this year, can't wait!!!
Dust masks are sooooo important at festivals like this
Great advice!
Also carry fentanyl test strips, if that’s your thing. You never can be too safe!!
So excited for the forest this year

Good thing about Narcan, it is safe for anyone. When in doubt, use it!
100%! I would not feel comfortable administering narcan at this point so that’s why I try to be super aware of where medical/security is!
😍😍😍
What was the process of being getting a media band?
I applied for their unmediated program!
