I watched this when it came out, at 14. Now, I'm 21, a makeup artist and Art director for film and I've NEVER seen a better look for Sloth.
I loved your work as a child and I'm forever grateful for it.
I loved watching her when I was younger too omg
I currently am recreating some of her looks to make my inner child happy…. U should too!!
I watched this series constantly when I was younger. What memories
SAME
You have an amazingly unique vision with each one of these. It's a shame none of them are out there being put to use in film. The sloth is my favorite. The idea of putting in the smoke and ragged plants left me thinking of a pot-head fairy. It's spectacular. I don't know if that was your intent, but if put into a scene, I would see finding the sloth character hidden in a cabin somewhere, smoking a hookah a-la the caterpillar from ALICE in wonderland.
Very well done. Would love to have a chance to work with someone like yourself. Your art and interpretations are undeniably above par. So talented.
FIRST THING: YOURE REALLY PRETTY.
SECOND THING: THIS MAKEUP IS GORGEOUS.
THIRD THING: YOU HAVE A NEW SUBSCRIBER
May I just say how gorgeous this is for something that's supposed to look lazy lol
Some makeup I think is boring, but this seems more than just makeup. It is like an art! (You really are amazing)
It is an art form. Make up of this type would more likely be classified as visual design, or costume designs usually done by a make up artist.
I love the attention to detail that you put both in the makeup application & in this video. The editing and music is well thought of. Your TALENT gives me goosebumps.
I watch this once in awhile, makes me sad. Like you were left behind, somewhere in a old house... makes me cry.
This is my favorite of the series. Reminds me of a character I made awhile back.
you look like an ethereal mushroom princess
dollys BEST...COMMENT...EVER! :D
cassidy rose i
This is my favourite look by you..... So pretty- especially considering that this is supposed to be messy and lazy looking... It's pretty, but still represents sloth well. Beautiful, Klaire
It's been almost 10 years and this is still my favorite makeup series. This is one of the only vids on TH-cam I've rewatched over and over. I was about 15 when this came out. Still in highschool. Awkward. I wasn't even allowed to wear makeup at that time yet. It's amazing how much life changes with time. Now I'm 25 and still awkward but you know how it goes. Regardless, thank you sm for creating this video. It's had such a huge impact on me even after all these years. Sorry about the rambly comment. I'm not the best at wording my thoughts
I am really in love with your looks , Klaire!
I remember watching this channel when I was little. I feel so happy now
I just came across this channel and i LOVE it, it takes make up to a whole another level
the attention to detail you have in all your works is amazing!
Hey just thought I should let you know that the picture of this makeup is being used in a "which of the 7 deadly sins are you" personality quiz.
Which one?
I am all of the seven sins
***** chill
Who knew sloth could look that beautiful?
What I like about these is if you tone it down you can get a really nice look to wear at a party or something.
this is defiantly my favorite of the seven sins makeup. cause you dont use concealer and you look so beautiful without it
Your work is so amazing you truly are talented! Love your work!
This is utterly amazing. I will never get over how wonderfully you can do these looks!
I love this look. I loved all of them, but this one is my favorite. Thank you for sharing your talent. ♥
This is definitely the most unique look I've ever seen you do. I love it so much. The photographs are absolutely lovely!
You are amazing!!! You don't just put on make up, you create and embody a whole character. Just unbelievable
Whenever you make a video as creative as this one it always gives me the feeling that you totally thought about a story around the elements that you choose to portray, I really love that, cause I'm kinda like that too.
so amazing! and also I am in love with the photography
Will forever be one of my favorite makeup looks ever
The pictures at the end of all your videos scream MODEL!
This look is absolutely stunning. I'm so in love with the freckles!!!
Amazing job! You are the artist of makeup artists
So is Pinkstylist
exactly
So is madeulook
So is Glam&Gore
HOW MANY CAN THERE BE?!
I would absolutely adore a short film with all of these characters and makeup in it.
You look slightly like Clove from the Hunger Games... Amazing look! You're a fantastic markup artist! ❤️❤️❤️
I just love how you edit your photos. So beautiful.
I was looking for sloth videos (its just one of those days) and this came up !
that's amazing
Anita Marie I typed "Seven Deadly Sins' and this was in one of the top 3 videos. -_-
I've seen a lot of Seven Deadly Sins inspired art and and makeup, and I love how different this was to the slightly tired and cliched ones I've seen. So often Sloth is just grey with cobwebs, but I love how you used the lashes, flowers and pink eyeshadow to make the character seem like a faded beauty, someone who was once stunning but stopped taking care of herself. Feminine, but faded and lost. Very original adaptation, well done :)
looks like something Ke$ha would wear
No.
Melanie Penafiel ... yes o.O
Emi Pellegrino
If it was full of glitter then yes, but its not so nope.
Michi Lynn it looks sparkly and purposely messy and the freckles made me think of her too :P
or lady gaga
So sad for these to be ending! They're my favorite of any makeup series EVER. This is so beautiful in a sad kind of way. I love it!
Sloth is my favorite one of yours. Like if you agree!
I love how you make it imperfect to fit the theme
Yes that was my real hair :)
this is by far my favourite of your deadly sin series
the eye makeup is bassically how i do mine minus the dots
By far my favorite 7 deadly sins look! :D I love it when you use those contacts and your hair looks incredible
I already have this look down without having to do anything, I just wake up and I am done :D
This is a very beautiful makeup tutorial in my opinion. I also love how you included a bare face since it lends itself so well to the overall look.
amazing! eerily beautiful
This is probably one of my most favorite makeup tutorials that you've ever done! (I think it's the freckles)
I'd totally do this but I'm too lazy.
-3-
Please do more of these kinds of series! I love these creepy and unique kinds of makeup looks.
I'm in love with you
this is so cool! also your voice is so calming and gentle!! subscribing for sure
Can I say that it is a lot of effort to look lazy?
i read somewhere that the sin was actually meant to be negligence, but after watching this I am absolutely speechless! love your talent and how you bring up a concept!
I personaly find this one pretty :)
in this half-deadly look i've found my main flaw..and the shivers've run over my skin.. Thank you! Not only for the amazing beautiful creative works, but also for individual feelings like that...and thoughts that you've raised. You're doing smth important and unique.. Wish you more and more inspiration and happiness in everything!!!!!!
love your videos!
this is one of the most amazing looks I've ever seen. Extraordinary!
I love it so much oh my lord
This look made me feel sad for people who have this sin...
you really did a great job !!
whats Sloth-like 'bout freckles?
she didn't take the time to cover them with foundation and whatnot, making her guilty of sloth
Laying in the sun, not doing anything, you're bound to get a few freckles.
I have freckles does that make me lazy that I don't cover them up?
Zoe Lilly I think you are taking the concept the wrong way. Having freckles in a natural complexion, and not covering them for a look for sloth, makes it seems like you are lazy. Not doing your make up (covering freckles with foundation) can seem as a sloppy/lazy appearance to some people.
exactly... why would it be bad to not cover them up? Freckles are a part of you, not a zit or something. you shouldn't cover them and draw them on when you want to look sloppy
I absolutly Love the Music *-* and the make up is brilliant!
does it work on green skin tho?
This is so beautiful! The photos are like some weird Pre-Raphaelite paintings, really love it
Hollty shit! The best were the eyes!!!!
Love this series! I find myself just watching these videos over and over again. Your creativity is so inspiring!
I feel like im the human form of sloth :D seriously its 2pm and im still in bed #dontjudge. Well at least im not one of the dangerous ones like wrath or greed.
"Dangerous" lol um they're called the seven DEADLY sins, not tryna be preachy buuuuut....
Keana Astalos sorry i didn't really get your comment :D might be cause im not a native speaker
+Erika Sirvio pretty sure she means that the sins are not only dangerous, but deadly (can kill). i hope this explanation helped you (:
how can you be the human form of one of the seven DEADLY sins and then say "at least I'm not one of the dangerous ones," like the whole point is that they're all dangerous
Keana Astalos because honestly i dont think sloth is that dangerous to others as in if a person is lazy i dont see how that person could be really dangerious to others :D and obviously it was a joke, no living human could be exactly like sloth cause then i wouldnt even be writing this comment to you :D
finally, it comes the sloth makeup, and just like those uploaded in the past, it never disappointed me and it surpass my expectation, she s a real great artist!!
Makes me think of a polluted mother earth!
It would be awesome if you wrote a book using this 7 deadly sins inspired looks as characters! They are the best looks I've seen so far! You're awesome Klaire!! 👌👌
I think the makeup is too pretty to represent sloth. This style reminds me more of a zombie princess or something.
Reagan Overgaard Thats just because Klaire is so pretty :)
Are you Dutch? Your last name looks really Dutch
You are like the only makeup artist i like to follow , i love your style of videos with the voiceovers :)
Aww I miss ur long hair
I think this is my favorite look you've ever done
:(! Is anyone else having a sloth day?
Ahh, Klaire, your talent never ceases to amaze me. Another phenomenal look, good job!
I think it's kinda cute
You know what I think this is my favorite of this group there are a bunch of small details that are just so interesting!
I'm gay but I find her very beautiful
+TitanicCLub517 grow up.
+TitanicCLub517 so what if he is gay, that is a life choice and there is no reason to deprive him of that
+Romaan Anwar thanks, but it's not necessarily a choice
+TitanicCLub517 oops
+Simon Carrick reeeooooo
the eye makeup is beautiful!
lol i am sloth...
You look absolutely ethereal as Sloth. Gluttony is my other favourite in the series, but this tutorial is outstanding
Hey, you know how to look like a sloth? First, wake up, and don't give a toss about your looks and go out with slippers. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 lol
Ana Fitzwilliams pffft you mean, literally me? Idk maybe this is how sloth wakes up? Maybe these colors are just a part of its face? Idk that's what I imagine :3
The pink and grey/black/silver combo is so pretty. I can see parts of this look easily working for every day makeup styles, especially if you're a weirdo like me. ^_^
It went nicely with the mould dots and I personally like the look of freckles, so any excuse to wear them really :)
Glad to hear you like it :)
You are my inspiration and I am just blown away by how creative and talented you are!! Please never stop making videos! -a loyal subscriber
I was really stressed out when I did it, and it always shows in the finished video whenever I do that. I just had such a different image in my head but it didn't quite work because I was stressed out.
I really appreciate how you have imperfect skin, yet show it to your subscribers and it's okay. Klaire, thank you for reminding us that you don't have to be made of plastic to be beautiful. c:
You are so incredibly talented! I love every single one of your tutorials.
This left me with a really eerie feeling, good job!
This sloth character is very adorable, in a very demonic way. Fantastic, as usual, Klaire
I was super excited for this since you posted the video about the nails, and you did not disappoint! Amazing makeup as usual =]
if you're having a hard time using eyeliner for the eyebrows, using mascara works really great too!
One of my favorites! The end photos are amazing!!
Wow that's gorgeous!!! btw, klaire, how much time do you usually need in order to create these looks? :)
Just stumbled on this series and its so cool, I am in awe of your creative talent!!!
this is my favorite tutorial youve ever done. I love that.
I love the effort you put into this video, now i want to watch all of them!! this is amazing , i love how unique your tutorials are, you inspire me to just be myself and do what i want with my make up, thank you.
I love this look, you're so talented klaire! Everything you do is amazing anyway...
