Wow, two nights under the stars in the mountains looks amazing! 🌌⛺ Windy and cold definitely adds to the adventure, but those views must’ve been totally worth it. Loving the detailed gear list too - super helpful for anyone planning something similar. Thanks for sharing this awesome trip! Really nice video!🙌
The step up in video production over the last few months has been insane. another brilliant video, Steve. Keep this quality up and expect big things brother 🙏
I think the birds were a vulture of some sort. here in new england (usa) we see these birds through october into november as they migrate south. they are truly huge (wingspan nearly 2 meters), they also travel in groups as you saw. another really great video. thank-you for sharing.
🥾Nice to see your hike! What's the name of this mountain or massif Steve? 🦯Do you carry your trekking poles just to set up your tarp? You don't use them to help you walk? 💡You have to explain to us how you know what the temperature's going to be like up there! And how do you know how to anticipate the cold, the need for a tent or if the tarp will be enough, etc.? It's really hard to imagine all that if you've never done it. And I have to learn, because in 2025 I'm going to be bivouacking at altitudes of 2,500-3,000 meters! Thanks Steve 🤙
excellent video! i think a bivvy bag is good as long as you are not too hot inside of it (conditions permitting). since i sleep very very warm (sweaty) i usually try to be careful to not have too much insulation but then it becomes hard to add and remove it from a bivvy! last winter i camped on a local beach in scotland at -6C in my x-mid and the only part of the bivvy that was wet was at the head end where my breath had concentrated.
Thanks again Steve - stunning high camps to lift the soul!
very nice trip, thank you for sharing

Thank you for the video. The unidentified birds judging by their size (and numbers) were Griffon Vultures.
Hey Steve! A pleasure to watch, as always.

Great video again! Which country is it that you do most of your hikes? Could you make a video of how you find trails?
I think he lives in south germany/austria/german part of switzerland so its probably somewhere in the alps
