I love these types of videos. It is interesting to see how people do their budgeting. I will give one suggestion that I implemented a couple of years ago. I do everything a month ahead. I don't mean I pay a month ahead. Basically, whatever income we get this month is what we have to spend/budget next month. It has been a life changer. I never have to worry about not having enough money in our account, because the entire month's money is there in the beginning. Also, throughout the month there is still money coming into the account, I just don't spend it until the following month. I hope I'm explaining this so it is understandable.
Well done Sweetie, you guys are doing so well. Agree with previous comments no one is perfect and personally I think with all the month up and downs treating yourself a little bit being out of debt and all is not so bad is it?, keep it up, loved the video. I am inspired.
Thank you for putting your finances out there to help us. Don't worry at all, no one is perfect, we all go over at one point or another. The important thing is you are still working on making great strides and enjoying life in the same process :)
Have you made a video where you show how you make those squares and put notes into each box? I love the way your budget looks! I admit I am not up to speed on excel anymore. It's been ages since I have used these programs but I am wanting too.
I have this video that I made a few years ago that kind of explains how I created my budget. Let me know if it's helpful or if not maybe I'll create a new how-to video. A lot of people have asked about that lately. th-cam.com/video/Nw7Svohq4BE/w-d-xo.html To put the notes in each box you just right click on the cell and select "Insert Comment" (or 'edit comment' once you've inserted it) Hope that helps!
Yaaaay!! What a great month!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼 Girl, i was telling Eden that baby steps 4 And 5 and taking up most of our income😩😩😩 Nathan will be in college in 5yrs😭😱
I just found your channel and subscribed! I really like that you carry over $2000 so you don't have to "borrow from yourself" like you said. We just borrowed from our emergency fund because our bathroom flooded and I hated having to do it. Smart idea to roll some money over each month.
My aunt, who's also my age and has 3 kids is using her refund to take her kids on a cruise! "Because they deserve it" Say what!? I Just rolled my eyes when I found out. Her kids are 12, 9, & 2 years old. Haha Whatever though, it's not my money but gosh dang people do stupid stuff with there money! Atleast I helped my friend to do some good with her refund she paid off all her credit card debt & is trying to pay off her vehicles but her husband spends like crazy so she's not getting very far on the Dave Ramsey plan.
You did a good job on this video! I also don't understand tax refunds, some years you pay some you get money back 🤷 And I totally agree the about people not using their tax refunds wisely, my first thought is always to save it or most of it, of course if you aren't in need of anything you cant afford
Came out fine. Thanks for your honesty and keeping budgeting real.
Love watching these videos! We make so much less lol but I love being able to see how everyone works their money

Yay!! I was so excited to see this! I like how you do the weeks in columns. And one of our goals for 2018 is to add a clothing sinking fund.

Your recording was great. 👍👍
Great video! Where did you get your spreadsheet?
MommySavesALOT! Also wondering lol!
I just made it myself in excel!
Did you delete the video explaining how you did it? I remember watching it like a year ago and It really helped me set up my sheet in excel.
Hey Amber, are you talking about this video? th-cam.com/video/Nw7Svohq4BE/w-d-xo.html
Yes! That's it! Thank you!
The army screwed over our pay when my husband was deployed, so I'm still waiting to get a regular pay check! Hopefully this next one will be all good.
Yaaay for finally getting the commission!
So far I used our refund to buy the baby a crib, mattress, & dresser! I traded in 3 of our expired baby gear and got 30% off each of the new items!
