Mushrooms grow outside even during winter (only crop I've found that does so). They also don't take much fertility, and you can take the magic mushrooms and poison ones and convert them into booze at a brewing barrel. Definitely feels like the intended farming progression path is starting out with Mushrooms.

Fair question. For mushrooms it goes from seed to fully grown. Fully grown looks like the ones you find in your base/ nefias/ ect. When things are fully grown you can either sickle it for seeds or harvest for the "fruit".
@Rumplenutskn are you sure? I thought there were three stages 1. Seed 2. Small mushrooms 3. Full grown mushroom And I _think_ for most plants they say "harvest" when they are done but mushrooms just say collect. And I wasn't sure if there was a difference between the different stages. Also, sometimes you get different mushrooms like the red ones and white ones. What's the difference with them? They seem to give good stats but also make you hallucinate and stuff. Any info on how to deal with that?
@@EssDubz I've only seen them go from seeds to harvestable like in the vid. As for colors, truffles and brown mushrooms are always good, white and red come with negative status effects. White is hallucinations and red is poison. As for how to get rid of the bad effects? Cook them with herbs so blue for poison and red mushrooms and purple herbs to stop hallucinations
@@Rumplenutskn is that the best course of action for those other mushrooms? Like in your playthrough do you cook them with herbs and eat them? Or is it better to do something like use them for fertilizer, sell them, etc? Also any plans to make a followup video on farming? I'm not sure if I should just do mushrooms forever or what my progression should be
@EssDubz @EssDubz I'm an adventurer by trade. I learned how to do the basics for the video, but I play too nomadic to farm. In my game I don't bother with mushrooms. I dungeon dive and there plenty enough meat. Also vendor food gets really affordable once you level up a bit. HOWEVER, if you want to keep the farmers life, I suggest you go out and find some fun/useful seeds. I went around grabbing banana trees from the beach and making a mini crim drug powder factory.

Cheese
The rotten ones also can be turned into bait when your gone adventuring
I turn them into bait so I can make fish booze. That or eat them for hallucinations

How many growth stages of mishrooms are there? Should i wait for it to say harvest? What does it visually look like?
