My personal opinion....this is the most badass series you have on your channel. I absolutely love throwing big baits and I think your approach to it is original and so sick! Honestly I might copycat this idea ,so sweet dude!
Way to go Yak Pak, could not believe the minnow that attacked that swim bait on the first cast he must have been really hungry 😋,can’t wait for the next video!!!!
John Baker in all honesty, that’s every body of water down here lol! Everyone and their kids fish these waters. I’d love to get out and try it on Okeechobee though!
Lol i throw a 130 whopper plopper at my local mountain pond and always catch little 10 inchers on it,probably have caught more small ones on it than big ones
If i throw a swimbait it is probally one of those h20 express swimbaits like 1 oz around 5 inches and i just use my lews mach speed stick 7ft 4 heavy (flipping and froggin rod) with a lews lfs 50lb braid 20lb mono leader.
In order to up your hookup to land ratio, get yourself a proper dedicated swimbait setup. Daiwa SXSB, Okuma Guide Select A, or a Dobyns Fury are all excellent budget friendly options. Shimano Cardiff 300a or the Daiwa Lexa 300 are excellent reels that you can get for fairly cheap nowadays. Good luck and tight lines brother!
@@FishingWithYakPak Thank you! That Lunkers defender is my favorite rod (no pun intended). Looking at a Dobyns Fury 7'9 MH if I ever fully commit to this big Swimbait thang- it can handle 1-5 oz lures.
No way dude!! I literally tried to buy this bait yesterday and they were all sold out. The original baitsanity is nasty good, really good at moving water! Awesome bait dude!
ok update, missed the part where you said they were pre ordered, got mine in the mail and cant wait to get it. thanks for the awesome video as always. also you should make a yak pak outdoors long sleeve fishing shirt. would buy in a heartbeat!
Just ordered mine today from TackleWarehouse. They got a 9" coming and a Shad profile in 7" as well. So cool that this company ain't charging $50 or more for this thing. 👍🏻🤘🏻👌🏻💯🐟🎣
You should try the Mike Bucca Baby Bull Shad from Karl’s. It’s a collab with Catch co. They aren’t huge (hence the name) but they are awesome! But loving this series!
I saw that someone already mentioned new hooks, but I like to try and do double hooksets on my fish brother. So tension on, and then a second hard hookset just to try and really pin them. #airborne
Hey Man , i would love if you could test these two Savage Gear Swimbait ! Savage Gear 4 Play V2 Swim&Jerk (Triple Jointed) Savage Gear 3D Roach Shine Glider PHP (Single Jointed) (Make sure to get the PHP Version , it has Photochromic Painting) You would help a lot if people because there is no good Review and Tests on YT of these Lures . Greetings Daniel

Are you using heavy rod for these swimbait
now you have to try it at a well-fished/busy lake...
John Baker in all honesty, that’s every body of water down here lol! Everyone and their kids fish these waters. I’d love to get out and try it on Okeechobee though!
As soon as the water comes up a little we will get out there. It’s a bit sketchy on lake O right now

Can u try a whopper plopped 190 for epiosode 5
Cooper Rouse absolutely, but 5 and 6 are already filmed 👊🏼😎 I’ll do it around 8 or 9 ish
Why would you need a new reel cuz you lost a fish? It wasnt the reels fault.
Mason Matlock this reel isn’t technically meant to throw big swimbaits. I mean it works, but it’s not like the Lews Super Duty wide spool
True is it a lews mg or lfs?
Mason Matlock tournament MB, I was looking at getting that super duty... what do you use for yours? I’m open to all suggestions lol!

Got it in my cart building for the next order!
I need that swim bait in my life and the flow glide I got in my chart right now
It’s one baaaaaad swimbait!
Get a swimbait rod, dobyns 806 fury is amazing
24/7 Fishing 795 is awesome too
DC805CBRM rules for the S-Waver 168.

what kind of rod you throw that big swimbait on? I've used a heavy froggin rod, but that doesn't feel optimal.
Okie Bass Yak my question too!
This one specifically is a 7’3” Extra Heavy Favorite Absolute rod. It’s not ideal honestly, but it gets the job done for big swimbaits.
@@FishingWithYakPak Thank you! That Lunkers defender is my favorite rod (no pun intended). Looking at a Dobyns Fury 7'9 MH if I ever fully commit to this big Swimbait thang- it can handle 1-5 oz lures.
Okie Bass Yak I love the defender rod as well! It’s my favorite Favorite Rod 🤣🔥
No way dude!! I literally tried to buy this bait yesterday and they were all sold out. The original baitsanity is nasty good, really good at moving water! Awesome bait dude!
Agreed! This thing is bad to the bone!
What rod and power were you using
Favorite Absolute 7’3” Extra Heavy Fast action
YakPak Outdoors thank you !! Is it a good swimbait rod ? Looking to get into swimbait fishing but don’t want to break the bank
I need to get into bigger swimbaits. I only have a lil 3” bluegill right now.
ok update, missed the part where you said they were pre ordered, got mine in the mail and cant wait to get it. thanks for the awesome video as always. also you should make a yak pak outdoors long sleeve fishing shirt. would buy in a heartbeat!
Already sold out unfortunately, but on back order
How bout a quick run down on how to use a bait caster.. just got my first one for fathersday.. dont know how the hell to use this thing..
Just ordered mine today from TackleWarehouse. They got a 9" coming and a Shad profile in 7" as well. So cool that this company ain't charging $50 or more for this thing. 👍🏻🤘🏻👌🏻💯🐟🎣
Love watching the series to see what swim baits there are the could be use for are Auzzie fish. But as always keep up the good work

I’m sure there’s a Grunt around that would whoop that gator good while you wade in and get your bait!!
Jason Bailey 🤣🐊

Don't be such a gator hater, they are beautiful creatures. Ya right good move, f the swimbaits live another day.
I'd say upgrade the hooks to some needle point owner hooks maybe, or your favorite hooks 👊🏽
C Caballero I’ll try that out when I run to the tackle store! I’ll see if they have them 👊🏼😁
Hey TJ where can I get that awesome shirt?!?! 🔥🤙🤪
Midwest Slaunch Mob 👊🏼😎
Come on man I've swam with Gators many times as long as it's not mating time or they are not hungry you'll be ok.
Lol that’s the problem, I think these are starving 🤣
Did nothing wrong and wasn't reel. We loose them if don't commit to lure/bait
Alright fine, I’ll check out Bait Sanity.... if you check out Jeto Lure Co. on Instagram. Deal?
