We Oregon fans knew Bo was more than short-game QB! Most of us wanted him to go to the Broncos because it was a perfect fit with a great QB coach. For me, it was a bonus as I'm a Bronco fan dating back to the first year in the AFL.
The announcers even had something to say about how his offense is “short routes, dink and dunk” and as Troy Aikman is saying that bo nix is “nervous and unsettled” in the pocket he throws the most calm cool and collected pass down the center of the field for a massive TD… gotta love the timing on that

As a Broncos fan who took winning as a given, I truly appreciate what the team is doing. Football season is fun again and Seattle doesn’t have our picks.
I'll be fair, aside from 1st round picks like Bo and Surtain, Paton and Payton deserve some credit for finding some gems, great value picks and UDFAs during their tenure - Bonitto, Cooper, Moss, Locke, Vele, Franklin, McLaughlin, Estime, Elliss, Mims and so many more. They're building a good roster and putting them in positions to succeed.
Vele bursting on to the scene has been a breath of fresh air while I hold my breath hoping of all hope for Franklin to break out. They are misusing Estime. and please for the love that is the playoffs get healthy Moss... Wallace is a liability.
Broncos need to continue to let the young guys develop. Vele is becoming a nice #2 Mims Jr is doing well in the Joker role and it's only a matter of time before Nix and Franklin get that deep connection going. McLaughlin was a couple of carries from breaking a long one. If they can hit on the upcoming draft like they did in 24 Broncos will be a serious contender. DB4L

Rich Eisen makes the point. This Denver team - what they have done -- stupefies the so called experts. Shout out to Denver's scouts and to George Payton - their draft the last two years was meagre in picks - but they made the most of them.
If you watch the 2 interceptions from Bo Nix, that first one hit the receiver in the hands. It was just a great defensive play by the CB to tip it into the air. The 2nd one is on him. Yes, 2 interceptions were thrown, but I'm not faulting him for that first one.
I know he still threw the ball on the second one but there were literally only two receivers running the same route he shouldn't have thrown it but god that play call was terrible.
Do not sleep on Bo Nix. Watch his film, this guy is the real deal. Yeah he’s going through some learning curves, but he’s by far the best QB of the 2024 draft and is going to win rookie of the year.
This game is more proof that things are getting better for the Broncos. They would've lost the past two games with past regimes. This team clenched their butt cheeks, and kept fighting. So happy with their season. It feels like we're playing with house money right now.

I was hoping for a 9-8 season, bare minimum. It can still go that way, but it’s been exciting to see the team actually have a fighting chance to win games. Monday night was the epitome of how we want the chargers competing every game. With a rookie QB, and a good defense, we just want progress. This feels right🍻
I'm mostly relieved to finally have a QB that we can have faith in. Obviously he's a rookie and there's always questions with what you have, but he's improved steadily and has the confidence needed to achieve.

Naw Mims Pic shouldn't have been thrown, but given the game situation 1st down w/the lead I think that was a time to start leaning on the run game & chewing the clock but Bo gonna be just fine.
That last point is the biggest, and one that stood out to me after last night. We can beat teams a handful of ways, which is very good for playoff ball, because we can figure enough out on offense or defense to give up a ton of yards but also get opportunistic and grab a pick 6 or two. We can also just smother a team defensively which is required when their defense is really good too. That made me feel better overall, even though last night's game didn't make me feel great. The record feels good, but we got a lot of work to do. Our defensive depth makes me nervous...
I feel great about last night because it's the type of game the Broncos have always lost the last 8 years. And Bo Nix played well. The box score may not say so, but he led 5 scoring drives against a hungry defense, and kept slinging it despite the picks. That was a great win

Honestly, I don't fear any team. I am more worried about our Defensive Coordinator. Our defense looked bad against the Browns because we deployed the same hybrid zone scheme that made us look pathetic against Ravens.
Right now, as a QUARTERBACK, Nix is superior to Washington's running back who thinks he can throw. Nix is a baller and a leader which is not something you can say about the waife in Washington (who is really a 12 year old mentally). Nix has so much potential upside and that is a cannon for an arm. With that said, Winston is garbage. I kept waiting for him to do the Winston and he did it twice. You cannot win with him. He is a backup QB all day. But he is not starter material.
@ 2:30, what should give pause to whomever the broncos face in the playoffs is that except for the game against baltimore, the broncos lost by LESS than a TD against everyone else. That shows they can play with anyone. They probably won't go all the way, but they shouldn't be taken lightly
Can we talk about how horrible the refs were? They missed the facemask on McLaughlin, they missed a Roughing call on Jameis (im a Bronco fan) and this has been happening all season (missed calls)
The fact is that anybody who knows anything at all about running a business knows that when you make a mistake, you have to fix it immediately. You can not double down on that mistake. In this case, Wilson was the mistake, and the Broncos and SP corrected that mistake instead of doubling down on it.

If you watch the 2 interceptions from Bo Nix, that first one hit the receiver in the hands. It was just a great defensive play by the CB to tip it into the air. The 2nd one is on him. Yes, 2 interceptions were thrown, but I'm not faulting him for that first one.
How is the second on him when the receiver quit running the route before the ball arrived?
I know he still threw the ball on the second one but there were literally only two receivers running the same route he shouldn't have thrown it but god that play call was terrible.
Do not sleep on Bo Nix. Watch his film, this guy is the real deal. Yeah he’s going through some learning curves, but he’s by far the best QB of the 2024 draft and is going to win rookie of the year.

The salary cap hit is having an impact, but it’s mostly on the Broncos depth charts. As the Riley Moss injury shows, there is a steep drop off between the starters and their backups. This could get really ugly if a few more key players go down.

@maskcollector6949 Everyone suffered with Russ. Jeudy was wide open almost every play and Russ couldn't see the field for sh*t. He had some drops but so has Sutton. Jeudy had to play with like 4 different QBs in 4 years. He's killing it this year because they are actually throwing him the ball. If I was him I'd label it as a revenge game too.

I was hoping for a 9-8 season, bare minimum. It can still go that way, but it’s been exciting to see the team actually have a fighting chance to win games. Monday night was the epitome of how we want the chargers competing every game. With a rookie QB, and a good defense, we just want progress. This feels right🍻
I'm mostly relieved to finally have a QB that we can have faith in. Obviously he's a rookie and there's always questions with what you have, but he's improved steadily and has the confidence needed to achieve.

Bo would have had 2 huge bombs if mims and Franklin keep running instead of an incompletion and an interception.
Naw Mims Pic shouldn't have been thrown, but given the game situation 1st down w/the lead I think that was a time to start leaning on the run game & chewing the clock but Bo gonna be just fine.
That last point is the biggest, and one that stood out to me after last night. We can beat teams a handful of ways, which is very good for playoff ball, because we can figure enough out on offense or defense to give up a ton of yards but also get opportunistic and grab a pick 6 or two. We can also just smother a team defensively which is required when their defense is really good too. That made me feel better overall, even though last night's game didn't make me feel great. The record feels good, but we got a lot of work to do. Our defensive depth makes me nervous...
I feel great about last night because it's the type of game the Broncos have always lost the last 8 years.
And Bo Nix played well. The box score may not say so, but he led 5 scoring drives against a hungry defense, and kept slinging it despite the picks. That was a great win

Honestly, I don't fear any team. I am more worried about our Defensive Coordinator. Our defense looked bad against the Browns because we deployed the same hybrid zone scheme that made us look pathetic against Ravens.

Right now, as a QUARTERBACK, Nix is superior to Washington's running back who thinks he can throw. Nix is a baller and a leader which is not something you can say about the waife in Washington (who is really a 12 year old mentally). Nix has so much potential upside and that is a cannon for an arm. With that said, Winston is garbage. I kept waiting for him to do the Winston and he did it twice. You cannot win with him. He is a backup QB all day. But he is not starter material.
@ 2:30, what should give pause to whomever the broncos face in the playoffs is that except for the game against baltimore, the broncos lost by LESS than a TD against everyone else. That shows they can play with anyone. They probably won't go all the way, but they shouldn't be taken lightly
We lost 4 games by a combined 20ish points (Baltimore is a statistical outlier) won 8 games by a total of 120ish points
Can we talk about how horrible the refs were? They missed the facemask on McLaughlin, they missed a Roughing call on Jameis (im a Bronco fan) and this has been happening all season (missed calls)

The fact is that anybody who knows anything at all about running a business knows that when you make a mistake, you have to fix it immediately. You can not double down on that mistake. In this case, Wilson was the mistake, and the Broncos and SP corrected that mistake instead of doubling down on it.
