Hudson, NY Rail Action, Featuring the Hudson Grain Train, July 9, 2018

We went to Hudson, NY a a bright, but hot Monday to catch the Hudson Grain Train. We were rewarded with several Amtraks, the Grain Train with an SD60 and an SD70. He had 15 cars climbing up the steep grade to the mill, and a whopping 45 cars coming back down! A fun day!

They have to use 10-20 cars going up because of that hill. And BL because of the mill’s location the only way to get there is literally through Hudson
