This is JUST what I have been looking for! Seriously, because I tend to lose position by slight margins and couldn't work it out. Thank you for this! Also, glad you're back!
Sound, useful advice holty, many thanks. Any chance of a video about playing high blacks, navigating around the black spot area off the cush? Im always more confident of getting position off low blacks as struggle moving the cue ball around accurately off the bottom cush. Cheers duck
Firstly thanks for the video, as a beginner it would be super useful to know what change you made to make the que ball come back around the back of the black?
I've been playing a mini snooker game in mixed reality, part of Miracle Pool, on the Meta Quest. They're working on having a full sized snooker table in the game, so finally I will have my dream, a full sized snooker table in my house. Not quite the same as the real thing, but I'm surprised how much fun it is. I lean on the ironing board, to take my shots. Maybe one day there will be a professional tournament, where all the players can stay on their home tables, but play each other? This would be good news for Neal Robertson, he might not miss so many matches😂
Hello. Michael! Hope you been well during the new year. I just wanted to ask you, how do you be more fluent around the table? I feel like while I standing up, I spending too much time to try lining up the balls perfect.
Great explanation mate. Thanks. Sounds so obvious but it not that obviuos for basic players . Will defo be looking out for that when im.playimg shots now. Might get in to 30s more often😅😅. Always break down in the teens by losing position like in your example. Great advice.
It seems so obvious now that you’ve highlighted it. I think this video is aimed at better players than I am only because I’m so focused on potting the red I forget about what comes next 🤣🤣. Great video 👍
I think this mistake comes from a lack of confidence and seeing what looks like the easier pot to make - they then worry about what ball is available after it.
Neil said in tv you and him had a little laugh when he failed to turn up, he’s done you a right favour tbf not saying he’d of defo beat you but obvs a bye is a result 😂
Talk about 'dolly' shots Holty. The worst one is trying say a ridiculously easy half ball (or so) red and trying to stay on the black. Always better to play up for the blue. Guilty as charged! 🙄
Play along the line. not across the line. Solid advice.👍
Glad your back missed your vids
Another great tip, love your style of coaching.
Very good advice coach , more like that please 🙏
Great video, simple but effective
Have seen this explained before but the way you described it makes way more sense
i was worried by your not posting as your videos are very good
Well presented Michael 👍
Thank you so much for sharing immense knowledge Micheal sir! Lots of love from hyderabad 🇮🇳 🙏.
Happy to see you back!
You could of mentioned the side or where to aim on the cue ball 👍
Really helpful! Would love more videos like this on break building and shot selection

Such a mind game. When the pressures on you have to fight the demons to force yourself to play the right shot that you play instinctively in practice.
Sound, useful advice holty, many thanks.

Fantastic lesson ❤❤❤
Deffo best explanation and examples I've seen on this!
Very clear illustration of shots selection , maximize the break by minimizing the margin of error

I would just ask you mention where to strike the cueball for these shots.
Thanks hitman. Really appreciate this advice, it’s something I hadn’t considered.

Thanks Michael - great theory and explanation. Love the Speedmaster also 👍
good luck. you are an exciting player to watch.

Would love some lessons with you..unfortunately I’m in Glasgow 😭
Small details can make all the difference.

Hi Michael, love the channel. What you’re referring to is called - Margin of error. ✌🏻
2 types of shot brilliantly explained
waited whole 1 month for your video. kept checking every Monday lol

The little look to camera when you said 5-6 inches.... That comes from years of lying about what an inch is... I recognise that look :D
😂😂😂
Yerrss michael lad good to see you back mate! !

Shit hot vid. Think most of us been doing these things for donkeys so these little changes make a big difference. 👍🤠🙌🙌🙌
Looks easy- wish it was.
5 weeks, taking the piss lad. Stephen Hendry will be watching
When’s your mrs back on, she’s so funny 😂

Most amateurs would miss both those reds...
No they wouldn’t ,people new to the game or beginners maybe would
I don't know why I watched this video, I need to learn to pot 2 balls in a row first 😂
