She definitely lives up to the title of Kenpachi. She’s a literal demon in combat and her Bankai is terrifying. It seems to heal each combatant’s wounds if the wound the opponent, drawing the battle out unless one person lands a decisive blow.

The solid of that monster is only it's crimson stains and that is nothing but silence and boredom, except if it leaves a deep scar. Unfortunally, those who draw their swords always need to make a choice before each battle to keep themselves always strong: try to feel what a battle is in order to live; or try to win a battle in order to live. (there are exceptions in such choices, like Yachiru Unohana did)
It's known that Kubo had written Unohanas backstory in case it gets added in the anime but it wasn't revealed. I still hope we see something at the Hell arc, if it ever continues and/or animated
They have little to no additional animation strictly following the manga. I am sadly disspointed. Mayhaps we will see Shuheis bankai but probably not. If plans for the novels getting animated, they will save it for then. I would have loved to have seen more interations between the Gotei members as they severely need it with some.

Bleach author should have used Unohana more than just give us this epic death for her at the hands of Kenpachi. I almost wish as a surprise he would have swapped Kenpachi type character to Unohana now being the ultimate insane fight maniac in Bleach. Would have been nice twist to let Kenpachi die and show Unohana was always the real "Kenpachi" title holder.
I get where you're saying to use her more but her death was VERY fitting and nice for her character to end as Unohana AND both Kenpachi are both insane monsters of fighting who love to fight JUST for the sake of the enjoy of it and this final battle for her just emphasis that enough for her character to truly show off what a demon she really is to her last breath!
