The key thing is to visit as in pass through…not a place you’d want to live in. You just have to be able to ignore the homeless problem, dodge all the trains incessantly transiting the heart of town, and not be bothered by the ghost town feel of the downtown area, even worse now since COVID. Showare may be the best public tax payer subsidized private venue that’s perennially a money losing venue in the state. Carpinetto’s has fresh, in season, some local, produce, but it’s expensive.
