1. They have the same gemstone shape that are traditional shapes of diamonds in real life.
2. Their lips are colored
3. They have complicated behavior which drives Yellow and Blue Diamond insane.
Eventually, the former are the oldest and youngest respectively.

Blue Diamond may not look threatning by design, but her voice sure makes her intimidating. As if, we haven't seen her real wrath as a diamond since era 1 before pink's shattering. There has to a reason why she was so feared as a "shatterer".

Heh... when describing Pink diamond, the shoulder area of her attire also matches the whole bubbly / sweet personality. When I saw them, I immediately though "gum drop shoulders to match her cotton candy hair and her bubble gum color". White diamond is a throw back to 1920s Art Deco attires and make-up.
According to Rebecca Sugar herself, White Diamond was inspired by the illustrations of the early 20th century illustrator Nell Brinkley.

Yellow's "helmet" is actually her hair. The person who said that later corrected themselves. They meant her hair is like helmet hair.

Pink Diamond's and White's design are opposites (just look at their hair, Pink's is soft and fluffy, White's is Sharp and pointy), much like Yellow and Blue, the Diamonds seem to be perfectly symmetrical. Yellow is to Blue as Pink is to White. Even their personalities and music and Gem placement.
Yellow Diamond is so my favourite. Her design, her voice, her personality. God she's my queen.

One thing that most people seem to overlook about blue diamond is the fact that her form seemed to change with per motional displays of States I don't think cursor animation error I think is simply to show the her form is as fluid as her emotions as fluid as water

veil aside blue diamond's body seems to undergo subtle shifts in appears bases on her displayed emotions . her appearance this is normally limited to her outfit's appearance and hair

YD: A lightning bolt (Such sharp)
BD: A tear (her shape and makeup)
PD: A rose (look at her hair)
WD: A star (I mean...it's obvious)

YD has somewhat of a Spartan General look, and her face seems Greek too which is a nice touch (btw she's my fav, not just her looks but her attitude and the way she speaks...)
BD has the obvious sorcerer look but beyond that, i agree with the overall Babylonian feel (not just in looks, her role looks as if cultural leader and mentor) - which is more evident in her semi-introduction in the flashback
PD is very much western European, onto French royalty I'd say
WD is basically multi-cultural goddess. she gets from Greek statue to sci-fi universe-under-her-arms vibe, just overall the ONE goddess of all - which is heightened by, as you said, the precise look of her outfit, cause that's what she represents, absolute perfection
Though I love everything you said about all the other diamonds! I feel like you did Blue real dirty and even somewhat undermined her lol in fact a few of the things you mentioned about her are quite the opposite.
Her eyebrows: I believe you said they were more curved and cute than intimidating, they're actually very arched, if you remember the episode "that will be all I believe it's called" she arches her eyebrow and said " I never asked any sapphire to go to earth" I remember everyone saying they never thought she was scary up till that line. And then the way she carelessly turned her head while Holly Blue Agate was showering her with compliments. Like she doesn't need to be reminded she's the shit.
2. Her Diamond. It's actually pretty funny because yellow's diamond was always the one I thought that was hard to notice, it's like the exact same color as everything from up her torso to her head. Tho I do agree with u that u said it's in your face. But blue's is darker and actually has a shine. Yellow's diamond is very authoritive cause in her projection she carries it on what would be outside ones clothes, like a badge. And Blues diamond is directly on her cleavage kind of like a soft decoration or necklace. Blue is soo much more graceful and elegant than just a gloomy character with a cloak :/

I also wanted to add onto your analysis of Blue Diamond, but her caped dress reminds me of a witch's outfit, especially on the scene where she's bellowing "You all deserve this!" where her dress starts flowing as she hovers closer, she gave me a really reminiscent vibe to the Salamander Witch from the anime movie Magic Boy

8:00 that's my favorite scene of Blue, she has a unique kind of fierceness which is not less scary at all, and the way she speaks in that moment... her pain penetrates you (A++ voice acting btw) and the way they kept her droopy and not-as-fierce design but made it feel as fierce just with expression... i love Crewniverse's work holy moly

QUESTION: How does Homeworld have an atmosphere? Doesn't that kinda need plants or other things that produce oxygen? Since Homeworld has been used to create gems for who-knows how long, there shouldn't be any plant material left on the planet, and if there is, definitely not enough to keep an atmosphere together. Also, the planet is wrecked. It makes absolutely no sense for it to have an atmosphere, other than having our precious characters skitter around there freely. Your thoughts?

More than likely, yes. I should have said "human-friendly atmosphere" to clarify the type of an atmosphere where Steven, Connie and Lars could use.
I would say a magical atmosphere created by a type of gem called...

I know I shouldn't be as bothered about this as I am, but I cannot help but find it rather lazy of the writers. Gems don't need air and I find it extremely unlikely anything organic is producing oxygen on Homeworld. I doubt they're going to explain it in any way, either, but I can always hope.

Yellow's has a military-esk apperence with the sharp design and got the pointy eye-liner.🔶 Blue's got a diplomat look with the curves and the cloak shows how shy and hidden she is and her eye-liner is similar to tears.🔷 Pink looks fun and most friendly and has a poofy look and a harley quinn looking outfit and not much makeup, mainly lipstick.🏵 And WHITE DIAMOND is glowing, some of her colors has a few greys and black, has a greek mythology look to her with those sandels, got them eyeslashes and lipstick, she's glowing so much you can't see her gem or hair outline , her hair looks like a crown unlike her original desing where she has that super saiyne hair, her cape HAS STARS ON IT LIKE SHE'S WEARING THE SKY AS HER CAPE, SHE'S LITERALLY A GODDESS!!⚪ p.s. love the vid =3 ⛋💠

Another detail I like about the Diamond's designs is that they all have a unique theme to them. Yellow has kind of a lightning bolt theme, Blue has a water theme, Pink has a flower theme, and White seems to have a star theme!

Whites cape is menacing. She has her arms in a t pose to make herself wider, more dominating. The cape adds an effect of "hey, with one movement of my arms, I can envelope you in darkness and dominate you."

Her diamond is pointed to look like a tear. It’s just a minor detail that makes her seem more gloomy, but that adds to her character design.

With Blue Diamond as well, the way her diamond is sharped, it's almost like a tear drop.
