wow-thanks for the great tip to trace the bolt locations with paint! I replaced a mirror on my C3 and did that. Matched up bolts to the paint location(s), window lined up perfectly! Saved hours of alignment work. Thanks!

thank goodness that 81 does not have power mirrors, but i only have to tighten the mirror to the base with a T25 star bit.
