- Denmark plans to implement the world's first carbon tax on livestock emissions from 2030 onwards.
Agriculture is the biggest source of emissions for the Scandinavian nation, which is a major dairy and pork exporter, and the plan is aimed at helping the country meet its climate goals.
Cow and sheep farmer Gareth Wyn Jones joins Talk’s Jeremy Kyle to discuss this further.

As a walker I notice where there are cattle there are insects, butterflies (not so many this year), dragonflies, birds, etc, but where there is grain growing there is nothing wild or almost nothing. Cow pats have all sorts of invertebrates as part of the great cycle of nature.

I've recently read a newspaper article which reported on the EXPERTS now being concerned about the same from our pets.
What we need to do is go back to the good old days when everyone cooked at home, grew at home, milked the cow in the backyard at home, and used their own livestock and poultry. No fast food outlets, no fancy restaurants or supermarkets. Fresh from the the back yard or the farmers. Farmers markets, where we can trade our produce and stock up on what we need. No wastage no plastics no traffic jams. Each town needs to start acting on this and get all the locals to take part in producing locally and taking care of their own communities, You dont need acres of land, even a box would do under a window in your home.

Shelves of fresh produce are empty now, never seen it so bad. Government need to help the farming community and stop building on farm land. Most living things fart, it's just another form of tax creation.

So this attack on meat production is a direct attack on human health. This is where the emphasis needs to be put in this debate because a lot of people think meat is bad for you except in small quantities.
