Didn't use to be a fan of Regian, but with performances like this he's really grown on me. Incredible output from the cardio demon Ersel 👍

How hard are you allowed to hit in an MMA fight? Normally in a real fight, a well placed kick can easily put down someone. A fight don't last more than a minute. Are they pulling punches here?
They may or may not pull punches(fighter’s choice/strategy)
Conditioning. In martial arts (mma, boxing, kickboxing,) you condition your body to withstand more pain. An untrained man will go down from 1 leg kick when it might take a well conditioned/trained man 6 or more leg kicks to go down.
Example of a well trained body taking pain till it can’t anymore would be Edson Barbosa vs Dan hooker.
You can hit as hard as you want, but 1) if you throw every bit of speed/power into every single punch or kick you will waste energy and be tired quickly; If the strikes don’t land then you just wasted energy. 2) If you punch as hard as you can, you also risky breaking your hand, the skull is hard, go outside and punch a brick wall as hard as you can and your fist will be shattered. Don’t underestimate the density of a skull. 3) people still hit hard, but accuracy, combos, timing all come before how “hard” you punch or kick. Street fights don’t last long because both guys are going for a knockout punch, and neither know how to defend, they just swing at each other with 0 defense. Compared to 2 trained professionals who know how to defend. I hope that clears it up
It's called a fight IQ
They are conditioned they know how to use defensive skills and have 8 ounce gloves on plus there tough mofos
you rarely see someone load up and land a full power punch in kickboxing and the gloves help a lot especially with blocking. but dont get it twisted these high level fighters are insanely tough and on adrenaline, most of the punches and kicks landed in this fight would end a streetfight
Haida has heart and is tough for sure, but he is nowhere the skill level as Eersel
