Early September and I head off to East Garston, near Hungerford for what I believe is the best metal detecting rally of the year.
I meet up with Dirt Digger Dan and try to uncover the hidden treasures of the region.

Wow, that flyover on that field, it looked like ant's, and the camp.. hundreds of tents and caravans. Some amazing finds.. And Spencer, if you were into reloading, you would of hit the mother load! Taikuu for taking us along on the walkabout..

Cool video Spencer! Interesting seeing how the hammered Roman coins were made. I think they were shooting that catapult at the hare you saw earlier. Did they get it? LOL. Looks like a lot of Celtic gold was found also. I'm never that lucky though. Best wishes and happy digging mate!

Brilliant video Bleeps my friend. I like your understatement of "buckle" , that's crying out early medieval 1200-1300 without any doubt. Hard to date the finger ring, I'm not good at that. Fantastic footage of the bloke playing golf @12.30 mins, I think he would be better off at St. Andrew's. Lots of cool finds in the closing stills. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah that buckle is old for sure. I didn’t want to date as someone was bound to mention it. How amazing is that swing- golfer 🤣 too funny. And as for that ring, even if it’s only 100 year old, I’m chuffed with it.

RCM is on my to do list Spencer. My big problem is no pets allowed and Barney hates being parted from me or Sue. She spends a lot of time looking after her elderly father so Barney is my little shadow most of the time. 1 day I will get out to meet you and the other metal heads.
