How is this man not a Nobel Peace Prize candidate? Actually scratch that… this man doesn’t need an award… he should be looked up by everyone for his contribution to humanity, nature and the planet. My hat 🎩 off to you sir!
He deserves all that and more ... Great points you've mentioned Sir ...
We need more people like that guy that help the people in need 🙏 God bless him
What an extraordinary human being Mr. Greg Carr is. I had the honour and joy to meet and talk to him. He loves the Gorongosa National Park, but most importantly he loves the people. You can listen how many times he talked about the people and see what he's done for us here. I've been living in Gorongosa for almost two decades. So, when I say, We're all very grateful for all he's done and continues doing here in Gorongosa, I speak on behalf of the people of Gorongosa. May God continues him abundantly!
What an amazing man.. and such an heartwarming story.. he helped so many people and animals.. he was a blessing for many!
was?
I couldn’t agree more with you. The guy is so amazing and this is such a great story.
S
Made me cry. Absolutely cry. Why cant everyone see the importance in this?
This is what a combination of philanthropy, and one man's vision can achieve. Kudos to them.
This is what the world needs desperately!!!!!!!
Love this man. I am from Mozambique and I am proud of him. God bless Me Carr.
As a Mozambican living in the capital, never went to gorongosa, I'd like to thank this man for what he has done
There are so many opportunistic billionaires out there that we sometimes forget there are some good ppl out there too, however few they may be. Kudos to him and his team. Ppl are only now realizing the important of finding a balance with nature. Arguably we need it more than it needs us. Earth will endure, we just might not be here to see it if we continue on the path we're on
Watching this with excitement from Zimbabwe. I'm so glad that Mozambique is becoming a juggernaut in the safari market alongside it's East and Southern African neighbours. Selfish me is also glad that Gorongosa, a couple of hours away from Zim, is now on our overlanding repertoire.
a shame how little this video has in term of viewership. I would love to see more philanthropic media
Thank you Greg Carr's, as a Mozambican this made me happy, very happy and I hope we can have more people like. Moçambique agradece irmão.
This is what true philanthropy looks like, Thank you!
That man is one in a trillion. Because the millionaire is today or the billionaires of today would never do anything like this. Man has done, it's awesome.
Awesome! 💯.
Would one day human beings really understand the necessity of preserving nature? Would we return and fix our mistakes before it's too late?
Would we finally respect all flora and fauna?
What an amazing human being!
Greg Carr, God bless you for giving back. I'm a biology teacher. This is my 40th year in the classroom. When I retire someday, may I come work for your foundation?
Three decade piece by 60 minutes, and a magnificent one at that
I’m from Mozambique and I hope that I’ll be visiting Gorongosa this year
Its a conservation park not just for animals but of the people too
God bless this man
Thank you Mr. Greg Carr!
Amazing man doing gods work!
Beautiful story
What an amazing man❤
Wow just WOW!
in 1994 I worked in the small town of Gorongosa (I had been in the Park before in 1978): it's true more or less nothing was left but LYONS where there
❤❤❤ bless you sir
I would love to be able to do something like that to have the opportunity in that scale would be fulfilling! 😊
ESSE HOMEM TEM MEU ETERNO RESPEITO!
This makes me happier than ANYHING I've seen in a very long time. This man is my hero! THIS is what is possible for both nature and the people! The ENTIRE world needs to watch this and see what is possible! I truly believe that this is how God intended things to work! I'll bet he's smiling down at this!
❤
When I grow up I want to be Carr
I seriously can’t believe this man never won a Nobel peace prize
Why not enjoy the joy of philanthropy
This is such a beautiful report and I wish we could clone that beautiful man 1,000 times over
Love it
This was just played on 60 Minutes today, March 10, 2024, as if it were brand new, even though it was first part of 60 minutes many years ago -- I see a video here on TH-cam named "Gorongosa | 60 Minutes Archive" from December 4, 2022. It may have been a part of 60 Minutes even earlier. Why do they do this??
We need more ambitious and empathetic Americans to copy this model
It’s a pity that more people. Millionaires don’t do the same
adore it
Good mans make good things for the others .
❤🎉Good morning 60 minutes or seen so many creatures die so suffering killed and it mustn't happen please poor animals 😭
All great, it's just a shame that it is foreigners who are saving our heritage for us. What we can do is learn from what this great man has done and improve on his example.
Same as in zim not many animals left there. All eaten as people are hungry
Look up the word "mensch," and you will see Greg Carr's photograph.
To 60 mins I’m Matt gillispie of s Cali, I lost my drivers lic due to a few new seizures I have from an old motor bike crash in1991.”fallowed by coma”. Can people without a drivers license use self driving cars to drive them around? Or and can I ever get my lic back and afford insurance for me if so?
I also am a past stand up comic who based his peace on my crash and the after effects 3rd I made a music cd “pop” music after the crash too. While I was making a short film at my old directors. I’d like to talk more, always Matt Gillispie
Mere man destroys everything naturally beautiful 🤔🤨😤🤬💯
Tiyende Pamodzi!!!
In 2023, there are 2,640 billionaires on this planet, I hope they heard Greg Carr's words - "what are you going to do, stick it all in your casket"? Great story! @60Minutes
