Baby turkeys(poults) ARE to be off the ground, kept warm and dry and kept clean until ALL feathers grow in. Why Jason and Brooke say? Because moist/wet and dirty bedding breeds bacteria that is harmful to baby turkeys. Also, bedding MUST be changed DAILY and leftover food MUST be REMOVED. They know because they raise turkeys and have NEVER lost any. I've watched one of their videos from last year where was Jason was saying as much regarding this. Just saying. Good luck!

Wow, she really picked a great spot to blend in!! It was hard to see her in the hay. I’ve never heard that noise from a bird before. When my chickens are broody they puff up and make the cutest noise to warn you away. Sookie was running so fast!! I’ve never seen her move like that. She looked so happy with her ears flapping in the wind 💕. So glad you found her, she’s a beautiful mama.

My two royal palm hens hatched 11, lost all but 4, then both my ladies were gotten a couple days ago by some very large bird of prey (found the feather trails) and now my tom has become momma and taking care of the 4 babies which is totally weird, toms are known for killing poults, never raising them. My Patrick is such an awesome guy. I love him so much.
