When I saw the second Mirei I physically held my hands to my head and shouted "Oh my GOD, what the FUCK" at my computer screen. I've never seen someone so summarily annihilated in a box battle and I haven't even seen the other half yet! You managed to pull the two most expensive non-textured cards in the set, two different versions of one of them (and the "regular" version is STILL a forty dollar card), and a bunch of other 10-20 dollar Ace Digimon! This box was genuinely insane for you. As a collector, having your copies of Mirei settled (without having to shell out 100 dollars for two cards) is a total victory, but also if you wanted to play Mastemon, you're halfway there because I think Mirei being a four-of staple is part of why that deck is so expensive (the other half is waifu tax on the two main Digimon, Angewomon and LadyDevimon, as well as Mirei herself). Me personally, I really want to build Legend Arms and the Three Great Angels, so I have my eye on the RagnaLoardmon and the alt-art Ophanimon you pulled; not that they're extremely expensive (about ten bucks each), but they're both so cool and those would be my targets rather than the insane Mastemon and Demon Lord pulls you got. I mean, I have my eyes on all three of the Ace Digimon you pulled, but that alt art Ophanimon is simply _to die for._ She's so goddamn cool. Again, for having no texture cards (which are insanely rare), this box was crazy! And yeah, the Demon Gate is what makes the Demon Lord deck work. You flip it over and it changes your gameplan into cycling through all the Demon Lords, absorbing them into the gate, and then trashing them all as sources to summon out Ogudamon for free, who devastates the board and trashes all your sources and kills you in one hit if all goes well. it's a pretty dramatic deck (tho not exactly overpowered), and you can see it played to the hilt on CardProtagonist's channel.
Thank you very much! Yeah, even going into this without having looked at the prices, I figured my luck was pretty unbelievable! Honestly, a Mastemon deck does sound really cool. I dunno if the original Mastemon is even remotely playable anymore, but I remember opening one back in the day and thinking it was a pretty sweet card. Of course, there have been others since then and a whole starter deck. As someone with an Angel deck in Magic, that's the kind of deck I'd go for on aesthetic alone!
