I started watching Emergency when I was 8 years old, and I had a crush on Johnny. I still enjoy watching this show it hard to believe its been so long ago when it first began.
It's hard to believe that the actors are now in their late 70's early 80's . I love watching this show Emergency! and even I have the box set. I have a crush on Randy Mantooth and hopefully someday to meet him. Love from Marysville California KMG 365, Squad 51 in quarters.
Back when this as on, I was in nursing school. I spent my long career specializing in Trauma Critical Care. We couldn’t save everybody, but we tried to make the time they had as meaningful with their family. I worked for quite a while at the “Mecca” of trauma, R Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. It was amazing, the birthplace of the Golden Hour in trauma
NOW THAT IS REAL FINE ACTING…BUT THE REAL HEROES ARE THE REAL MEN AND WOMEN WHO DAY IN AND DAY OUT PROTECT US ALL! COPS, FIREMEN, DOCTORS, NURSES, TECHNICIANS THE JANITORS AND ALL THOSE WHO KEEP US ALL SAFE…THEY ALL ARE HEROES AND WE SHOULD GIVE THEM A THUMBS UP FOR THE GREAT JOB THEY DO EVERY DAY!👍 THANK YOU!👍🙏❤️
Really good video! Great advice. It's one of the things I really like about Emergency! The show would sometimes take you aside and give you some great life advice that can be used anywhere. I like the editing of this video.
Nice video. Like others I see of Starsky and Hutch. Between these 2 shows and the bromance they showed.....I was a teenage girl and my hormones were on fire. There were other shows as well, but these 2 were the best.
Heard and tread that Randy and Kevin were close friends in real life as well and it shows through their acting. Dr. Brackett's speech was truly inspiring and bit the nail on the head in what he was advising Roy. Another great Brackett speech was in the second half of the pilot episode when he addressed the California legislature on the merits and necessity of the paramedic program. He said it would save lives - whose? maybe even your own, The end of the Greatest Scenes movie when Johnny and Roy try to say goodbye after becoming captains is truly touching and human. They know they wouldn't be working together again but know they will remain friends but don't know how to put their emotions into words. Finally Roy tells Johnny "Come on I'll walk you to your car". This scene shows that less was indeed more. They knew how they felt and so did we. A very fitting conclusion to a greats show. I don't understand though why in syndication they have that movie in the middle of the others in Season 7 instead of being the last as it should be.
Same as I can't figure why these last movies didn't include Engine 51. Every other station in the county, but not 51. Hey, they were just as important on making this series a success.
@@MsShoosh1 The last Emergency! movies were filmed on location in Seattle and San Francisco so there was no need to use Engine 51. The last movie where both are seen is the second called Survival on Charter 220 where a jet plane crashes into a neighborhood and a house where Gage and DeSoto are treating a patient. In the process the squad in destroyed by a falling engine from the doomed jet.
Those two were never alone, so long as they had each other and the help of station 51 they were never alone. And to all of the first responders every where I pray that you are never alone. Love from Marysville, California KMG 365
This entire show started when only 7 paramedic teams existed across the united states...afterwards we had about 100. We wouldnt have the best medical care if it wasnt for these people. Thank the lord for them.
I’m a Firefighter/EMT and this scene speaks volumes. Fallibility, something we as providers beat ourselves up over all the time. We don’t like to make errors, but we have to accept things happen and do the best we can for our patients.
I was planning on leaving a comment on every single one of your videos because they’re just that good, but I didn’t want to spam your notifications xD. Hopefully this one here will suffice what I want to say for each of them. These are amazing, honestly. Your editing style and how you put the clips together, along with the songs you pick, makes these absolutely incredible. It’s nice to see new additions to the Emergency! fanbase in video form, considering most of the video tributes are from at least 10 years ago now. Please [that is if you want to] keep making these, they’re awesome.
Don't worry! I don't plan to stop making them anytime soon!! I have a couple sitting in my drafts right now that I should really finish haha. Thank you so much for your kind words!
this show came out when i was an Army medic. 15 yrs later I had earned the titleS F.F PARAMEDIC and BSN/RN. I THINK THIS SHOW HELPED ME make the design to leave the Army and GO FOR IT. Yes i knew it wasn’t real but it lit the desire to challenge my self. Never look back just ahead and one day at a time.
As A semi retired Firefighter(not a Paramedic) we cannot be second guessing ourselves. We train so that when the tones drop we do the job the best we can. Only after we are back in quarters can we dissect what happened.
@@wwetnabamafan194 Yes that's right. And James McEachin who played the construction worker was in other episodes of Emergenecy! and also Adam 12. A great actor who enlivened every episode he was in.
I think part of this comes from an episode when Dixie chewed out a doctor, asking when was the last time the doctor risked his life to save a patient? These men do that with some regularity!
I love the video but just could not hear what was said most of the time over the music. Especially the scenes with Dr. Brackett. But then that is just me, maybe?
yes it was harsh but think of the context. In the beginning doctors were hesitant of the program not just because they initially thought firemen would not cut it in emergency medicine but because they were afraid their jobs would be in jeopardy. Dr. Brackett gradually has a change of heart and does push the program in the California legislature in a very stirring speech near the end of the pilot.

YOU TOO? My love for Johnny Gage as a child went much further than a crush, it was an absolute obsession lmao. I still love him to this day so much.
I became a volunteer fireman because of this show.
Great move.
The show worked so well due to the amazing chemistry between the main stars.its obvious nobody hated anyone and they made a great team.
because they were all great job on the video.

I love what Brackett says in that scene! Awesome video you've put together, so glad there are still active fans out there.
Thank you!
I watch it every night still. It influenced my career in ems
Loved this show back then and still today.❤️❤️
So many memories

This was a great show for a 5 year old boy at one time

I always get teary-eyed watching the end of the show🥺

I love 💕 this TV show l have been watching it for alone while
When it opened up that is allowed to do CPR. Remembered that episode and then was to let them do CPR. Later the public started to learn CPR.
Nicely done. Gtear speech by Dr Brackett. It was a great show. I wish it was still on Netflix
Currently Emergency! is on WeTv and FeTV.

Great Job!
Thank you!
Great job on the video..... Definitely shows the strong bond between Roy and Johnny that still exists today in real life..... Well done
Love it!

The speech and many of the clips are from season 2 episode 1 "Problem"
This kinda relates as well when Roy had to make a hard choice between amputation of a construction worker's leg or not.
@@wwetnabamafan194 Yes that's right. And James McEachin who played the construction worker was in other episodes of Emergenecy! and also Adam 12. A great actor who enlivened every episode he was in.
You both are my ❤️
Johnny may have been cute, but Roy was the strong and silent type. He was handsome in an old school way!

Thank you kinda made me think about some of the calls I went on..
I think that their should be more paramedic training units in the hospital
Squad 51 You’re the Best 😂❤
It made me think about some of the people I helped.
I wonder why none of the guys were Emmy nominated?
How true! One of the great mysteries of life.
The hell with the orders😂😂😂
🧙♂️☕♥️😁👍👍👍 I love but I will show emergency Squad 51
I agree
I love the video but just could not hear what was said most of the time over the music. Especially the scenes with Dr. Brackett. But then that is just me, maybe?
I'll try to adjust the audio in the future! It might sound a bit better with headphones.
@@abbysmith1789 Nope .
You are very speical
Lower the music’s volume…
The one thing I don't like is Brackett calling Johnny an amateur. Uncalled for, but I get it was in the story line. But still, it was harsh.
yes it was harsh but think of the context. Tell like it is
I can't hear what they are saying. The unnecessary music is too loud.
Wow - you overramped that music track. You can hardly hear the dialog. Learn how to mix better.
I agree
