We have to choose the resistance value based on the maximum drain current capability of the device. For plotting the characteristics for the learning purpose, a random value which limits the current within device range is sufficient
Different MOSFET has its own voltage or gate drive requirement. The characteristics will be identical but not the values of voltage and current. Here I used a low power MOSFET which can be driven from a small signal source
Best information brother, thank you 😘
Thank you
This is a very neat explanantion.
Something is happening to the dogs in the background, check on them lol. Informative video. Thank you.
can u explain why we chose that value for your res, is it random?

good video
What is the value of vdd you chose sir?
12V
@@BalamuruganParandhaman sir, have we used vdd anywhere in the circuit ? ??
@@vinayk531 yes. The source V2 is considered as Vdd
I tried picking some mosfet of the LTspice library but the characteristics tests didn't worked as before, have you tried it? Thanks in advance.

Thank u
how do you find out gm?
@@Sundaryt it's calculated from the transfer characteristics. Find the slope of the curve in linear regio. gm=id/vgs
@BalamuruganParandhaman ohh thank you
Bro which source wiil be first source if I want to draw id vs vgs plot
Vds
Bro how to draw Cg-Vg characteristics?
