Gate-to-gate LCAs can be modelled with any system model of ecoinvent. Usually, it is other considerations in the scope of the study, such as EoL, that define which system model one uses. More info here: ecoinvent.org/the-ecoinvent-database/system-models/
An ecoinvent licence is usually sold for a price, except for educational users in a non-OECD country. In the later case it is for free. More details on pricing can be found on our database download page for ecoinvent: nexus.openlca.org/database/ecoinvent.
Hello and thank you for the webinar! How can we add a process to a process, for example, in Ecoinvent I have process production battery : battery production, Li-ion, rechargeable, prismatic (2720) I would like to add process recovery : treatment of used Li-ion battery, hydrometallurgical treatment (3830) Become one process battery : production + recovery Thanks
thank you for your query. One way would be to make a new process called "production and recovery" and use the individual processes as a source of inputs and outputs of this new process. You can copy and paste inputs and outputs, as well as whole processes
Hi. For gate to gate LCA of metal, which system model of eqoinvent should be used?

Hi there, I have a question. Is ecoinvent 3.7 available for free or do you have to pay for a license?
