WOW! Thats a pretty ambitious undertaking, Lots of labor even with the aid of the vacuum. Hope you keep us updated because it would be interesting to see the end result.
I can see were those Badger Trucks would help with a rework of a preexisting basement. I operated that type truck when they were first in our area We used ti dig Natural gas lines with 3 trucks ( water tanker, high pressure Hydro pumper, and Vacuum truck ) I was really glad when the owner of our company found those being day bued at a industrial show in Texas. I was featured in our local news paper when we got the first one. We had been doing it the old way to cut down on the number of explosions and deaths from digging for gas lines with backhoes. This video brings back memories. We really like the robotic arms on the vacuum lines, My crewmen that ran the vacuum line would duct tape a wooden broom handle to the work end of the hose to cut down on the static electrical shocks that they got from the dirt and water running through those ribbed hoses. ( what a thrill ). Anyway good looking video and thanks for the memories.
yeah that's hard work when you have no walk out to work with , i've gug alot of basements out handing 5 gallon buckets out pop out windows. man that's a work out day after day , then having to get gravel back in , thank god for concrete pump trucks.
flailios , I agree was going to say the same, it's either getting a clog or not turned up very high.. regarding putting hands near end, it should Never Never have a hand, foot and body part near the suction end... tape a broom handle or something on it to guide.. not only torn muscle, tendons ect. could also get a blood clot, resulting in heart attack, stroke, or aneurysm... These trucks have a very powerful suction, and if not used properly can result in serious injuries...
You tell em hand our training and safety guy would tell us that if it got a hold of your arm it would pull all the blood out of it before we could get it shut down. Lucky non of my crewmen ever did it when I was operating the truck.
@@Agamimg360 do you know if they have these trucks in Houston TX if so what are they called or what do I look up I need to dig underneath my house "plumbing issues "
Could have opened up a section of the framing to drive a skid steer in there? Just wondering if this would have been faster and cheaper than the hand digging and suction truck.
It's seems so odd that it looks like the foundations went down really low and that they filled that room in with soil and rocks. You'd think that they would have wanted the high headroom in the first place. I know I would rather have a full room than just having a crawlspace where you had to duck your head all of the time.
In all serious though, I demo'ed my 15,000 gallon pool by myself (took down 2' of wall with a 35lb Harbor Freight Demo hammer) and wheelbarrowed 70 yards of gravel & fill dirt from my driveway around to the back to fill it in. Naturally, you have to move the dirt twice for proper placement and manual tamping in 6" lifts. Tough work for a 56 year old man. But I'd do it again before your task. That looked brutal.
Thanks for watching, They removed about 10 yards in 3-4 hours, you have to pay driving time from yard to end of day to yard about 12 hours for a 30 yard day
I watch many different TH-camrs and they are extremely careful and make sure to stop any copyright music from being heard on the video. In this video you can clearly hear copyright music playing on the radio, I just wonder why the YT system does not pick it up and give you a problem. I posted a private video of my Niece's wedding and the organ music got flagged by the system and they gave me a hassle. I'm just saying that you need to be careful when it comes to the background of your videos.
TimSDobson Not correct. Years ago I filmed my niece's wedding. I posted it as a private video on my YT channel for them to watch. It got flagged because of a piece of organ music used for the wedding march. I do not have any monetized videos and I still don't know what exact part got the video flagged,
I hope to tackle a similar job (prob not as big) - re the music - They dont really bother too much now - Ive done quite a few vids with 3rd party (pop music) they just give you a warning unless the third party strictly does not want it played on any vid they will let you allow it with the notice - I believe the person/group co that owns the rights to the music will get paid weather through the ads or the views.

Wow hat's off to y'all. Thats some back breaking work
Hmm this reminds me my son needs to clean his room.
I love this video and I love the noise.

Looks like dredging for gold!
Fantastic number 3👍
Thank you 👍
Vacuum was slower than I'd have hoped But where do you even get these trucks!?
Not worth it for the price
What a job!!! My hats off to you & the crew! How did you remove the huge rocks?
+Docdaugh Thanks for watching, Any big rocks were dug down deeper
I am wanting to do the exact same thing in my crawler. What did they charge you for this service?
Way too much
They had it dialled right down or it's a weak truck. Should never out your hands anywhere near the tube end as it can rip the muscles off your arm.
+flailios Thanks for watching, I hose was 60ft long or we had a couple of dud workers?

Can you tell us the brand and characteristics of the vacum pump

Thanks For Watching, Yes it would be cheaper to even use wheel barrows. I was just laboring this job
@@CanadianTreasureHunter Thanks for the feedback

you guys ever think to duct tape a stick to the end of your hose? youd get it done faster and with less effort.
I thought the same thing..how nice a long handle would have made that job so much easier...
Should have used a Hydro-excavator. High pressure water to break up the soil and a boom to suck up the slurry.
Or a cheap Harbor Freight impact hammer with a shovel bit from Home Depot. Like butter.
Would a rototiller work to break up the dirt faster and less manual labor?
Thanks For Watching, No there was many rocks we filled up about 10 yard of them
How much was vac truck
Way too much, About 3k per day
Whats the machine called again?
its in the video, Over priced & not worth it
@@CanadianTreasureHunterthank you, but we got a lot more dirt than what's in this video, we've been hand digging and losing hope 😅
Hey we're did you get that suck truck from and who did you call ? Please help
What's that truck rental and other truck related expenses cost?
Too much not worth it $3000 per day
what kind of hose were you using?
do u work in vancouver also?i have a job, vacuum sand from 2 rooms
Looking at house lifting cranes now. Imma add 3' to my foundation wall.
