8 years later and I have found this video. I have been looking for a video that explains how I can use this hoop for hats and you did it. Thanks so much!!
Thank you very much for this! I have been looking for someone to do the fast frame cap from the set of 8 in 1. I was thinking of buying the Durkee cap hoop, but I am in the UK, and they don’t have them in the shops, so I think they have to be ordered and can be expensive. I may get one from the us, and hopefully not get stung by the customs fee. Regards
Maybe try different pins. I love quilting pins because they will go through thicker fabric with easy. If you're ripping your stabilizer, your pins might be the problem. Longer pins may help as well.
There are different types of stabilizer, wash-away, cut-away, tear-away, heat-away. All of which come in a sticky backed option. So if you don't want the stabilizer to wash out then use a cut-away type.

Thanks! This worked GREAT! I have embroidered 6 caps since watching your video! Thanks!
I'm going to try this today! I've got a regular cap frame, but this looks like a better way to include a slightly larger design.
Very helpful; thank you!

Can items on which sticky stabilizer is used be washed (ie onesies) without the stabilizer disappearing after a few washes?
