- UB40, Hunterz and The Dhol Blasters performing "Food For Thought", "Who You Fighting For?", "Reasons", and "Red Red Wine" and "(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You" at Live 8 in London's Hyde Park on the 2nd July, 2005. Organised by Sir Bob Geldof and The Band Aid Trust to raise money to fight poverty around the world, the event was viewed by around 2 billion people.

The greatest tribute to Astro & Brian would be for Ali & Robin to put their differences aside get the band back together and tour the world again,they would sellout stadium after stadium.

Take Ali & Astro out of the original band and what have you got left... a karaoke band at most.. Astro sadly died 2yrs ago, along with Brian Travers... it's all financial, £10m went missing from the "Promises & Lies" album, and that's why Ali left.. 😮

Iam in my seventies and have rediscovered UB 40 music play it every day and try to song along. Put the CD on when the wife goes out shopping. So I can have it up loud. Even my dog loves it help to plug in the CD player. Sets me up for the day. Hope my neighbours like it.

I still cant believe i saw them live in 1980 and they still give me great pleasure watching them. Shame they went their separate ways but the band without Ali are nothing. More power to him

The most unique part of UB40 as a legendary reggae band is because of Ali's unique voice and the slight delay he does in his vocals in every song is just what's makes UB40, UB40. Much respect.❤
It's also their roots. They grew up between the immigrants listening to reggea and Indian music. The fact that they called themselves UB40 is referring to the unemployment benefit form you have to fill in to get the benefit, it says it all about these guys. They bypassed the system in an epic way you guys. Deep deep respect.
Reggae is also about the drum and bass lines

My first cd ever i bought was Labour of Love II, still have it. Their music is timeless.
