Sometimes living in another country for a long time can have an affect on you and you adapt that accent as you're around people using it. My family's British, my great uncle has lived in Canada for 40-ish years and naturally now has a Canadian accent. Maybe because Kathryn has lived in the US for several years the accent has rubbed off on her?
