you are misunderstanding the concept. R0 represents the rate of spread it does not mean everyone in contact will be infected, there are 4 out 10 chance that he might be infected
Please tell me what are you trying to say more clearly I too have the same doubt that if every one is susiptable then why wont every one gets infected.....
I think that part of the video was a little confusing. Grant isn't actually saying we assume all 4 people would get infected, he's saying all 4 are susceptible (i.e. not immune or removed). It just so happens that all 4 got infected in the modelled scenario.
Nice video. There is a whole community of researchers doing Agent Based Modeling (Agent based epidemiology in this case), Artificial Society simulation, etc. Basically, that is what your are doing here. It would have been great, if you gave a shout out to the researchers. (Disclaimer: I watched the video really fast (2X). I might have missed it, If so apologies).
