Great content Matt. Not personally a fan of the look of the SGC slab, it looks a little too formal for pokemon, more suited for old vintage sports cards. Personally I'm really loving Ace at the moment.
My 4 year old son (Noah) favourite card is raquaza! We met you at the london card show and you kindly gave both my children an evolving skies pack each to open 😊
For my fav card among all cards you opened, definitely the Pikachu from precious collector's box! I think that tuxedo look on the slab give it a little more *chef's kiss! lol
I absolutely love the Ancient Mew. Ive been looking at buying one from a seller on Ebay, but the photo's didnt do it enough justice. Seeing yours shine and sparkle in the video, has definitely helped me make up my mind , whether to buy it or not.
They look nice as a case to protect your card and to have that black boarder to really focus on your card, but that's about it. I just hate how the label looks. PSA labels look great from the back, but they also suffer from the same problem that I have with SGC for the front of the label. BGS and CGC have amazing labels, with BGS having the most professional and clean look. CGC has the best overall feel of a slab from what I have experienced (Still need to try holding a SGC slab).

Well, it's BGS; while the new changes that CGC has made with their black label have not hit with many folks, I would say BGS, SGC, and PSA are the way to go for cards. Even though PSA has trash grading, but there is less drama than CGC.
My favorite card is the shiny Mew you first showed. I used to own a copy but I got rid of it some time ago and have regretted it ever since lol hope to win the contest!
I love the lugian gold card that you graded, and also the Rayquaza event it's not an alt art but still cool cards. And my girlfriend was wanting to see if you graded a Gengar cards, i was shock because she really love gengar for a reason lol🤣. Normally woman will choose a cute pokemon like Pikachu, eevee and etc.
Got to be the shiny charmander just because it’s my son’s favourite Pokemon but I love the slabs like you said Matt the cards pop and I’ll definitely use them for my personal collection in my opinion I think these are the best looking slabs
Very impressed with the look of these slabs. I was considering sending in but couldn't find any reviews from them, but will definitely be going with them now. My favorite was the entei. I remember having that card when I was a kid and wish I still had it today. Great video!
The one thing that really bugs me about the slabs is the square corners around the card - on some of them it really doesn't look right as it makes the card almost look like it has square corners. I agree with the black though, it does look good. I'm also gonna disagree with the pikachu promo - for once it is one I prefer with a yellow border - to go with the yellow of the pikachu. One of the few cards I will say that about. Some awesome cards and grades though - congrats!
I actually really liked that alt art sneasler. I thought it looked more like a painting with the tuxedo slab surround. I'm very impressed with the SGC slabs!
You just convinced me to start using SGC, I’m also going to start using KSA, which is a Canadian greeting company similar to PSA but just much cheaper.
@@Mattculli I agree, I always say, “it’s good to keep your options open” PSA is good but they’re so damn expensive, so I figured why not try another company that’s much cheaper and will give you more for your dollar
I also recently graded a few Pokemon cards and received 4 SGC10 and 1 SGC9. However, US Pokemon dealers and collectors do not value the SGC grade anywhere near the CGC or PSA graded. While I think the SGC slab looks significantly better than the others, collectors and dealers do not agree. Some even going far enough to say that they would crack a SGC graded Pokemon slab and sell Raw. Some people just don't like or acknowledge SGC.
For sure the market hasn’t got there yet for SGC but I think it will…CGC only moved to grading cards 2 years ago so just takes time SGC have been going for 20+ years in sports so do have pedigree
SGC grades with AI that follows an algorithm. If someone that’s making fake cards finds out that algorithm they can basically just grade any fake card😅
Yo, I’m thinking of getting 10 Pokémon cards graded from sgc I have a question, is it ok if I just use a regular top loader for them, do I need to use penny sleeves or can I just use some etb sleeves, and do I have to put 2 peice of cardboard on top of the cards, or is that just something for extra safety
100% you need to use clear penny sleeves you can get them on Amazon for under £4 and I would suggest using semi Regids however you can use top loaders as a last resort but you risk the cards being damaged when they get removed Better to be safe than sorry

I bought a card slated by then 3 months ago for $100 and I’m now seeing that same graded Pokémon card 10, like mine for $900! Is that right or is it one of those sellers that puts up a stupid large price?

SGC is quickly becoming my favourite grading company. I love their grade scale and the tuxedos suit pokemon cards so well, awesome video mate!

My favourite is Penny, closely followed by the Holon Phantoms Gyarados. I do like how the black makes the art pop.
