To be fair the 1st game still looks leagues better than 2. So having 2 get the hd treatment beforehand makes sense. Though I totally agree the 1st game also needs it

@@dogg-pawsTTYD was a remake though, this is just an HD upscale of a 40 dollar game and from what it seems, doesn’t run as smoothly as 3 does. Could have improved frame rate a lot more than what’s being presented. So with it being an “HD” rerelease with no extra content, it’s absolutely not worth 60. That being said, I ain’t buy TTYD for 60 either, got it for like 35 cause I ain’t spending allat.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is already on Switch. For those unfamiliar with the series, they would think Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is a sequel/new game. So they gave it a “2” to be upfront and honest that it’s a remake.

I think they did that to not mislead consumers who didn’t play dark moon into thinking it’s a sequel to Luigi’s mansion 3. But that being said I wish it was named “Luigi’s mansion 2 Dark Moon”. I also wish an HD port didn’t cost $60 but oh well :/

Yay! I definitely don't need to worry about getting the original 3DS version anymore! Once I complete the 3DS remake of the first Luigi's Mansion game, I'm definitely going to get Luigi's Mansion 2 HD! I must admit, though, it's a pity that it won't be called Dark Moon here in America anymore. I really liked that. Nonetheless, I'm so hyped for this game's release, as well as Mario and Luigi: Brothership, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Super Mario Party Jamboree! I also really hope that Nintendo will someday make New Super Mario Bros. 3, a remake of and a sequel to Super Princess Peach, remakes of Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Super Mario Galaxy 3, Mario Kart 9, remakes of the first Paper Mario game and Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, a Switch port of Paper Mario: Color Splash, a brand new Mario vs.
Donkey Kong game, a brand new Donkey Kong Country game, a new Mario Baseball game and a remake of and a sequel to Mario Sports Mix! I came up with some totally sweet ideas for them, and I hope that all of you and Nintendo will love them all just as much as I do! I just can't wait for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD to be released! I miss when the ghosts had SOUL. Like, LM1 had amazing ghost designs, but 2 and 3 don't feel the same.
Yeah the gameplay is fun and all and Luigi's mansion 3 got a dark ending, but I miss the good old designs.

was hoping for 1. My youngest loves luigi and he loves ghostbusters. I haven't picked up 3 because i never played them and didn't know if you need to play 1, 2 before to know or understand how to play it. he is very young and can't read yet, but really want him to be able to play his favorite mario character.
then i'd say this one or 3 are a bit easier for younger people
All 3 have a different story so you can play either one of them first
I wouldn’t say you have to play the others to understand, I think at the start of 3 and 2 it has a little section explaining the controls! though, id personally recommend 2 first just because i remember it being a bit easier than 3 was 😅
No worries, the stories aren't linear! 2 was my first game when I was little and I had no issues in terms of getting into the series.

Played this one on 3ds but wasn't that huge of a fan. I didn't like the mission structure and how it kept booting you out of the levels when you completed a mission
