Can u also tell us the differences between your 600RR 08' & 600RR 2018?

    The bars on the 07-12 600rr are actually up an inch or more over the other supersports, which is a huge difference in terms of comfort on the street. Read the current issue of Sport Rider magazine (April 2013 issue) They explain how bars raised an inch makes a big difference. When I sit on the other supersport bikes it feels like I'm getting ready to do a pushup, you don't feel that way on the 07-12 600rr.

      Hock Ooi CBR600rr is better for street riding than the zx6r 636, the zx6r has more aggressive ergos but go sit on them and see which bike feels better for you.

      I got a 2003 R6 and had to give it back. too tough on the turns. It was my first first super bike as I was jumping from a 250. I don't know if a CBR 600 would be easier for me. Any thoughts? - I want it to go from here to there not speeding. Thanks

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi welcome to my channel! Thanks for checking out my vids. Yeah the 2007-2012 cbr600rr is the lightest 600cc stock bike, it feels really light and turns corners with ease. It feels like a 250 when it comes to flick-ability and the weight of it. One reason why I didn't go with a 650 is primarily b/c of the weight. I wanted something lightweight, flickable, fast and more commuter friendly, the 2007-2012 cbr600rr is the only bike that fit my criteria. You'll love it if you ever get one.

    I picked up a 02 CBR F4i for my first street bike. Greatest investment yet! Rides great. Very comfy and was cheap. In the future im looking at a RR. Highly recommend first year riders of SS bikes to look into them. They feel better than the others and was slightly cheaper.

      Cool, I might get a 600rr or a Hayabusa...But I love so many motorbikes ill probably end up importing something into the USA...but a 600 is a good option. Glad to hear its good. I was on a s1000rr and its very comfy..I just love the under-tail exhaust man.

    • @kristiangurholt59
      @kristiangurholt59 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's great man! How do you compare the torque/power at low rpm's to the 500? Seems like cyclecruza is contradicting what other people say about 600s having '' no torque''. I used to ride a 500R until it got stolen two weeks ago, and I'm wondering about what to get next. I loved that bike though and I really miss it :(

    • @GrindbIast
      @GrindbIast 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im very sorry to hear about your 500r! id say off the line they are relatively close for maybe a second. The more the revs increase with the 600 the more power you get and it does take long at all before there is a large difference. Also the gearing is alot taller on the 600. So if you wind it out you can hit over 100km (60mph) in first gear. I commute on mine in Melbourne (and joy ride) and i think its hands down better than the 500r but thats just my preference. Suffice to say i still have my 500 and havent riden it once since I've purchased the 600, which could also mean my memory if its torque is a little sketchy. But both are great bikes! let us all know what you decide to get!

    @Edwin Serrano - 09 kawasaki zx6r wet weight is 421 lbs, which is 9lbs heavier than a 2007+ Honda cbr600rr. You want to refer to the a bike's wet weight, with all fluids. Nobody rides a bike with no fluids. lol

    Thanks for your insight, it's nice to hear feedback from someone who has actually ridden a 2007 and newer cbr600rr! Most people that say negative stuff about the bike are people that have never ridden the 2007-2012 cbr600rr. Most people assume that the new cbr600rr bikes are the same as the 2006 and older cbr600rr bikes. Also, I agree with you that a 1000 is overkill for the streets.

    CBR stands for City Bike Race and was built to be an all rounder in all aspects, everyone says 2009-2012 model basically because it looks the best, I see a lot of comments saying r6 is for track and honda for city both can do both!
    In the motoGP Honda always performs at the top tier and the 8 races ive seen honda won 5 its the RIDER not the BIKE where PERFORMANCE really counts!
    Dont get caught up in performance statistics just worry about comfort and asthetics cause thats all that really matters my brother is a racer and will beat faster bikes because he is a better rider.
    i know this is a 2013 video and a 2017 comment but 2009-2012 are the best looking and most sort out honda still today so here you go

      James Hills it does not matter what is in motogp. They dont ride standard bikes. Its true. Standard honda cbr600rr is fine for street. Not hard enough for real track racing standard. R6 is better because other suspensions. For street i also find r6 is to hard..

    Your welcome! Yeah that's why I made this video b/c people don't realize how just an inch higher clip-on makes a world of a difference. Also, the suspension, seat and fuel gauge just makes the 2007+ cbr600rr best suited for the streets over all of the other supersport bikes. A lot of people just see a hot bike like the R6 and immediately want to get it regardless of the fact that is one of the most uncomfortable supersport bikes for the street.

    Good to see you are starting on a 250, smart move. The 250 will help build your skill set and when you are ready for the 600rr it will be a smooth transition as it was for me. Ride safe!

    Where the honda beats the gixxer in comfort is the raised clip-on bars, the bars are raised on the 2007-2012 cbr600rr. You will get no wrist discomfort on the cbr like you will on the gixxer on long trips. I have no idea why people think the gixxer is more comfortable than the 2007-2012 cbr600rr. Maybe for short riders who like the lower seat height. Also, the 2007 and 2008 cbr600rr have a little bit more top end than the 2009-2012. In 2009 they reduced the top end a bit due to emissions.

    Thanks! I'm glad the video helped. You will definitely love the 600rr. You made the right choice. It's the hands down the most comfortable supersport bike for the streets and commuter friendly.

    hey thanks! I don't know, go to a dealership and sit on the bike and see how you feel on it. I'm about 6'1" and it's very comfy for me.

    You'll see it in one of my next videos. I will post links. I need to set the record straight b/c there is a lot of ignorance floating around out there. The 2007/2008 600rr is a BEAST!

  • @CycleCruza

    my 08 cbr600rr begs to be taken to the twisties, it carves corners like a scapel. All I can say is my bike feels like I'm an extension of the bike, I love this bike so much and I've had it for a year now and hope to have it for a long time.

    Just found your channel this morning. I have a FZ6R and my wife has a Ninja 250. I was just talking to some guys about how much I enjoyed riding the 250 a bit and now the FZ6R feels kind of heavy and slow to flick in comparison. AND THEN I FOUND YOUR VIDEOS. Now I think I'm in love with the cbr600rr. Everything you're saying sounds great to me. Long rides, light weight, accomodating for commuters. If only I didn't owe $ on my Yamaha.....

  • @CycleCruza

    Thanks man! I have no idea about what suspension set up will suit you better. A dealer should be able to help you with that. They should be able to set up the suspension for you to meet your needs. Good luck with getting the cbr600rr, you'll certainly love it as I do.

    My 2002 F4i Finally went bye-bye after 149,000 miles. I was so worried about finding a bike as comfortable touring with as that one but this makes my choice easy. Went and snatched up a 2011 CBR and it is comfortable. Thanks for the info man

    Hi Joe, I highly recommend starting a 250, you'll gain confidence and skills faster on it. If you buy a 250 used you'll save a lot of money and when you go to sell it you won't lose much money at all. I wanted to to start on a 600 too but I knew the smart thing was to work my way up to a bigger bike and I'm glad I did.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I did not rev it to 3k at start, please watch again, I made sure to start at idle which is 1500 rpm on this bike. This bike has linear power throughout the power band which was noted on some of the shootouts and reviews . Of course some liter bikes have more torque down low but this bike hauls ass off the line, stop looking at the dyno sheets and test ride one for yourself. I was thinking to myself what my next bike would be....still don't desire any other bike.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for watching! Yeah the ninja 650 is a really nice bike but I knew it wouldn't satisfy my need for speed so that's why I went straight to the supersport after riding the cbr250r. You'll love the supersport, especially if you get a 2007-2012 cbr600rr. Really you get the best of both worlds in this bike and the quick throttle response is addicting. I guarantee you'll love the bike.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks! Yeah mine has gone up to 210 deg in the summer, nothing to worry about though. As soon as you start riding it drops back down. I've never had the fan kick on but I hear it will kick on if it reaches 220 deg and then the temp will drop. You'll probably enjoy yourself more on a 07/08 cbr600rr than the gixxer 750, the bars are lower on the 750 so it's not going to be as comfortable and it's not going to be as fun on the twisties, the 2007+ cbr600rr almost feels like a 250 (low weight).

  • @Genstafa

    You're the best motovlogger I've seen until now, since you're probably the ONLY guy I've seen to actually talk about motorbikes while riding on one, instead blabbering about what you ate for breakfast and stuff...
    Good job, subbed.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for your input! It's always cool to hear from people that have actually ridden the 2007-2012 cbr600rr and can attest to it's comfort and power on the streets. As far as power, people don't realize the 2008 honda cbr600rr was clocked at 10.52 @133.7 mph for the quater mile, actually faster than the 2011 Triumph Daytona 675r that was recorded in the 1/4 mile which was 10.61 @132.2 mph.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That''s true but even that will get tiring after riding for hours. You can always add heli bars to raise them but that can be difficult to install sometimes.

    This video pretty much just sold me on the cbr. I never even knew the bars were ABOVE the triple tree. After coming off a 03 r1 for the past 2 years, i'll take the smaller motor for the comfort. I'll definitely be buying one of these bikes.
    But i'll tell ya, you gotta experience a litre bike at least once in your life, or you haven't lived my friend.

    I have a CBR500R. Bought it about 4 months ago. Left it at the dealership for a month while I waited for a safety course. Been riding for about 2 months now. It's a nice beginner bike. I enjoy your videos. Have been watching them since even before I got my bike. I'm considering a CBR600RR as my next bike, but I'm in no hurry to make the jump The CBR500R is pretty adequate (just not as cool as a super-sport).

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Congrats on the new bike! I agree, the 250 is a great bike to learn how to ride on.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks bro I appreciate your comment. The daytona 675 is a hot bike, I love the looks too, but parts can be a bitch to obtain and the bike has agressive ergonomics and a firm suspension that sucks for street riding. The 2007-2012 cbr600rr was designed with the streets in mind and commuter friendly. I'm not just saying this b/c it's my bike, if there were cons I would be the first to tell you, the truth is I haven't found any cons yet, at least for street riding. I haven't hit the track yet.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah you are right but it will get taxing on long rides with a bike with low bars, when you use your legs it will start to fatigue your lower back, you don't get that with the 2007+ cbr600rr due to the higher clip-ons.

  • @Gordy24531
    @Gordy24531 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just got a 2012 CBR 600rr. Your vid swayed me on the 600 instead of 1000. I love this bike!!!!!! Thanks bud! Maybe see you on the road sometime.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Carl, go to the dealership and sit on one. The seat height is about 32.5" You should be fine on the cbr600rr. You can always lower it an inch if you need to. As far as riding in less than 5k rpm around the city, it stresses the engines less which in turn will give you better gas mileage. I'm averaging about 43-44 mpg even with a two bros slip on which is excellent considering I roast the backroads whenever I get a chance. I attribute my good mpg due to coasting in the city and low RPMs.

    yeah but it can mess up the bike geometry...honda's ss bikes already come with risers. Also, sometimes it can be a pita to put on clip-on risers b/c you may have to change all of the lines.

    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome! Cool to hear you got the awesome 2008 honda cbr600rr! Baddest 600rr of all time! You got one of the nest color schemes too! I love the red and black color combo. no, unless it has power modes where you can restrict the power like the 2008-2009 suzuki gsxr 600, 2013 kawasaki zx6r 636 and the triumph 2013 daytona 675r might have it too.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks! The zx6r is a really nice bike for sure. Honestly, you won't really know how comfortable a bike is until you ride it, the zx6r might be a great fit for you. Generally though the 2007-2012 cbr600rr is known for it's comfort on the streets, it was designed to be a more commuter friendly.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was referring to my experience with my cbr250r, which wasn't fun unless you put yourself into a more agressive riding position when riding the twisties by scooting back in the seat and bending the elbos (I mentioned this in the video).of course that was just my opinion. Everybody will not feel the same as I do. I understand that. Honestly, I'd rather be freewheeling it in the dirt on a dirt bike than riding the twisties with a motard, but that's just me.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah it's all preference. I do plan on riding a liter bike for good measure. Like I said in my videos I'm not a liter bike hater, I even said if Honda came out with a new hot design on the fireblade I might be tempted to get one but it won't be b/c of wanting more power. My 08 600rr is all the power I want at the current time. Also, I value my fuel gauge, something the fireblade doesn't have. I like to plan long trips on occasion and it's nice to exactly how much gas I have left.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    First off, thanks for watching my videos. The cbr500r, is a great bike to start on. Take your time and learn the proper skills you need. When you are ready then get a 600rr. It will be a big change though as these supersports are so powerful.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah the roads are not too cool out here, some areas are worst than others but this 08 cbr600rr handles them like a caddalac, so smooth. The scooter was good too.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah the cbr turns with ease, like I said the handling feels like a 250, very light up top and turns with ease. Actually, Honda supplies the same engine from the cbr600rr for MotoGP. I'm using a go pro hero 2 for my motovlogging. The mic is a cheap EBay flexible stereo mic I got for $2.99 shipped. I did a couple videos on the camera and mic, go to my main channel page and look in my GEAR folder. All of my videos are organized in folders on my main channel page.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was showing the low end power starting at 1500 RPM at idle. If you listened carefully you would have heard me say I was showing you the low end power. lol Actually, the 07/08 is one of the fastest 600's, it ran a 10.52 in the 1/4 mile, Google "Sport Rider 1/4 mile times'. The R6 has the fastest top end from my understanding, the 636 is a little but faster but it has extra 36cc of displacement. You are right though, the 07+ cbr600rr is the best all around bike, it does everything well.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    the rr requires the same maintenance as any other bike except the supersport bikes like mine eat through tires a little faster. You can cruise at whatever speed you want in top gear, sometimes I cruise at 40 mph in 6th gear just to keep the rpm's low for better gas mileage.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Thanks! Yeah the bike is quick! More power than you wil ever need on the streets and the track.

    I have an 05 cbr600rr and I've never had an issue with hand fatigue or pressure on the wrist. I've never ridden the newer cbr's so I can't really chime in on that but I do know that I am super comfortable on my 05 cbr even during long rides and I know the 05-06 models have alot of power and are pretty fast topping out at 162 mph. Honda makes great quality bikes that are solid and confidence inspiring. Specially after adding a pair of Dunlop Q3 tires. Taking turns on this bike is like being attached to a track. You feel glued to the road. Can't go wrong with a Honda.

    • @CycleCruza

      They just raised the bars 10mm from the previous gen cbr600rr. The older ones are still fairly comfortable for street riding.

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    thanks, the 2013 zx6r 636 has lower clip-on bars (bad) than the 2007+ cbr600rr and the the 636 lacks a steering damper as where the 2007+ cbr600rr has a fantastic built-in electronic steering damper that is nicely concealed underneath the tank cover. The cbr600rr also has a fuel gauge. Comparing 1/4 mile times, the 2008 honda cbr600rr ran a 10.52 in the 1/4 mile (Google Sport Rider 1/4 mile times), the 2013 kaw zx6r 636 ran a 10.71 in the 1/4 mile.Both bikes have nice low end power. 07/08 600rr!

    It's a big difference. Have you ever ridden a 2007+ cbr600rr to know what difference is like? The 2007-2012 cbr600rr has the perfect ergonomics, not too agressive and not too upright. Adding heli bars is not always a simple task, there is a dude I know right now having a problem raising the bars on his 08 zx6r.

    The bars sit up an inch up over the competitors' bikes, it was just raised 10 mm for 2007-2012. Try test riding a 2007-2012 cbr600rr and you will see for yourself! It's the most comfortable supersport motorcycle for the streets that is available, even more comfortable than the gixxer (Gixxer clip-on bars sit lower which put more body weight on the wrists)

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @CycleCruza
    @CycleCruza  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yeah it comes down to personal preference, the gixxer and cbr600rr are both great bikes for the street. yeah my bike loves wheelies, I do power wheelies often without even wanting to. lol
