Hey everyone, this video is in honor of Kurt Cobain, one of the most influential musicians of a generation. As we edited this video, many amazing songs and memories came to mind.
When you hear Kurt Cobain, what comes to mind for you?

Mr King Rat Of The Gutter that’s kind of true. I mean, at least in america it’s like almost half and half … one half only questions the other and not so much their own. It’s one of the biggest points of contention between the two. Both believe what their party says too much and disbelieves the other too (maybe too much sometimes).
People question, sure. But so many are still so full of confirmation bias. Only want to hear what suits their already established thoughts. It’s part of the reason why a two party system will always be better than one. If we didn’t have that… I guess everyone would believe everything or nothing. At least half are questioning the other half.
Not that that worked out so well either though.

Isn’t it a fact that if you’re more aware you are more sad. Logically if you know more then you should about the people around you you will find something bad about everything and one if you look on the surface only you will never really know what’s going on and accept happiness as reality. The key is to have the realization of happiness and acknowledge the good the bad and accept both as terms of life and to know the only thing truly against you is time.

@@fredzep01 If people truly want to know how to live, or what the secret of life is, they should go somewhere other than the entertainment industry. Musicians are, at best, secondary sources for the deep thought that is reserved to learned philosophers and pious theologians, and most of them are solely in the boredom-killing business. If you've got a musician speaking as though he was either a philosopher or a guru, you're guaranteed to be dealing with a charlatan.
As for music journalists, they are generally the scum of the earth, especially when you get into the upper echelons via outlets like Rolling Stone, Spin, Billboard, Pitchfork, et cetera. You have a few that are in it to inform people, and a few more who are honest about being self-indulgent egomaniacs and will still give you some good information, and the rest are basically hired hands for the major labels who will sell you a pit of fertilizer and tell you it's high art.
Granted, I myself am an independent heavy metal music journalist that has been writing album critiques and op-eds since 2005, so my views are somewhat colored by my general disdain for mainstream rock music, but I don't think I'm wrong.

@@hellsunicorn I fully agree, but kurt got off light, in the 50s and 60s the beatles were asked all the time about the meaning of life
and all that other crazy shit. then a bit further down the line in the seventies an eighties there were music journos who's
opinion was more important than the
music, which was probably down to the payola scams. but today with the interwebs the doors have been well and truly kicked down hopefully those days are long gone.

Well I quit caring what others think, so that negated the rest of your list, since I don't care what you think about what I should quit now. But I pressed on anyway... I have to believe in myself, or else I couldn't perceive the world around me. Duh. Okay, so our health is already a priority, unless you're truly suicidal. You have very little control over your health in one sense (genetics), and total control over it in another (consciousness). Worrying about it is dumb. And wasting time is a beautiful thing in this world of goals, noise, pressure and greed. I think I should waste more time, frankly. And finally there is no such thing as a "meaningless" relationship. You learn from EVERYONE you interact with. So there ya go Ahmet, I have filleted your well-intended advice - but only for the purpose of reminding everyone that "self help" is a short line of study - you're just the way you were supposed to be, you're loved, and you already have the answers to all your questions. Your potential is limited only by your ability to conceptualize your desires. Have a nice day.

Kurt Cobain was murdered by a man named Michael "Cali" Dewitt in a conspiracy between himself and Cobain's wife. As well as _possibly_ some others in the music industry and law enforcement either before - or more likely after the fact. Mr. Dewitt may have also received some help in moving the body and/or cleaning up/staging the scene from Eric Erlandson and/or some drug addicted friends living in the home with him at the time. Although the others cannot be as easily substantiated as Mr. Dewitt and Ms. Love and play far less "important" roles.
I don't tell you this to be some "nutty troll" or whatever. I'm telling you because it's Truth and it's important. I could feel your sweet and compassionate soul in your comment and felt it important to tell you. Especially because of your son. How important Kurt Cobain was to his fans in informing their sense of creativity and ethics. How much of an injustice it is that they've had to live believing Cobain took his own life and left his daughter behind because he "couldn't handle fame" or was "a drug addict" (both being _heavily_ exaggerated narratives).
I hope I didn't somehow put you off with that comment. If you are interested, there are plenty of good resources laying bare the evidence. The best of which being from Tom Grant, the private detective Ms. Love hired the (actual) day Mr. Cobain was murdered under the guide of "finding" her then "missing" husband but for the actual purpose of solidifying narratives and alibis.

Oh give me a break! I was there when Nirvana was big (was in 9th grade when Kurt died) and nobody was trying to stop him from doing anything. You couldn’t go anywhere without being bombarded by media supporting his inane, derivative drivel, and every word he uttered in an interview was put on blast constantly. You’ve had a false reality foisted on you by marketing people tied in with the recording industry who keep recycling this comedic mythos to sell the latest reissue of Nirvana’s discography. Kurt was not a prophet, he was a heroin-addicted hobo who spouted cliche left-wing rhetoric in order to pick up on misandrist feminists. His songs were basically the punk rock equivalent of AC/DC with gibberish lyrics. The media may still call him the voice of a generation (it still sells), but he definitely was never my voice.

Touching to hear his truth; I did feel at times I wanted to cry and allow myself feel like I know this kindred spirit and I agree if anything that music should be a genuine passion and it should matter how it sounds and not what it looks like or who sings it but if you’re real and you perfect your art, you can literally do anything you want. I for one would have been okay seeing Nirvana break up and Kurt being able to live on than to lose him to murder or suicide or whatever, he made my heart smile and he sang from a place I knew I had inside me and I too felt that women get treated unfairly and sadly he’s right most popular rock bands do make sexist comments and I’m guilty of playing along with that rhetoric as though it’s art and I can only apologize but ultimately I do it again and again. Thankfully there was a Kurt Cobain and he did teach us something about ourselves even if no one was willing to listen but for him to scream incoherent lyrics and play grungy guitar. At the heart of his gift of music was a man who was willing to admit he was conflicted and flawed, he believed the lies printed by media just like everyone else.

Empaths take on too much and don't understand where what they're feeling is coming from. It's a debilitating height of awareness that hits you when you least expect it and no matter how hard you try, you can't get a grip on it. Self assurance becomes harder and you give up on trying to beat those misunderstood, blind-siding feelings of despair. It just wears you down.
Kurt and Layne definitely have my sympathy because giving up on yourself is soul crushing and giving in to your burdens and letting them control you is hard to accept...but easy to do. I know the feeling all too well. They both deserved a better path in life and an easier road to follow💜🤘🏻

The things he said about feelings of being lonely and apart from everyone and everything, I have always felt the same in my life. I never had the fame or money he had thrown onto him and I know that at that young age I would likely have ended up like he did, not knowing that some people are evil down to their soul waiting to use him up and take everything he had to offer including his life. Rest in Peace Kurt, you are loved.
