And if Nayeon is singing and somebody else has high vocals in the background, it's most likely Jihyo. The hearts you see everywhere are present likely both because of past things in some of the mv's and because Twice are literally called the National Girl Group of South Korea. They are absolutely LOVED by the general populace and these ladies know that it's the fans that make the entire thing work. You can't have Two (Twice, the group) if you don't start with One first. That's why the fandom is called ONCE. These ladies are humble and sweet. Of course they have had minor controversies (even from the very beginning, but name a famous person or group that do NOT have haters...) but overall they are pretty tame and are relatively problem-free compared to many other groups and soloists. These are real sweethearts and they deserve to be recognized for their skills, talents, drive, determination and their desire to make other people happy. :)

The interesting side of TWICE is, that their songs do not stick to a single genre. Their discography has a healthy varied of influences (old, new and from different countries). Some are basic/mainstream, some are experimental. It's more impressive because several of both their MVs and the Choreographies are carefully layered and built with a meaning and theme (not just looking good). They even have songs about mental health, and another that also angrily trashes both the media industry AND stalkers (based on their real personal experiences). It's Twice. Never a boring moment with them. Hope you enjoy your ride (your rationalization of late night, vocalization AND romanticism of past eras were on point).

Just found your channel and i have to say I like what your doing by first reacting to the song. Most reviewers do the M/V first but Twice are not only all visuals but there M/V's do have so much to say that you can get a mental overload (been a once for over 6 years and the M/V's always wow). It was wise to do the guide (was what i saw first and made me check out your reactions) to know them is to love them. One thought the color changes match the title of the song moon light and sunrise. Lastly Twice is famous for Easter Eggs not sure what it means but the doorbell and the car i have questions too lol. Oh and welcome to the rabbit hole that is onceland, OT9 forever.
It's been a very fun rabbit hole so far 😊 as for hearing the song first before watching the mv, that's just accommodating my odd brain 🤷 but it does mean I get to pick apart more details in the mv because I'm not being floored by vocal talent
Since Twice has such a large discography, I don't think you'd go wrong by checking out their Korean MVs chronologically, from the beginning, then diving into albums. With the Japanese singles, this might be sacrilege for some Onces, but I think you could probably start with Breakthrough and move chronologically, then go back and check out the earlier stuff. Their early Japanese releases are a bit hit and miss IMO, but their run from Breakthrough up to Celebrate (their latest Japanese comeback), is fantastic. You may run into some copyright issues if you want to react to the Japanese MVs though.
Mature Twice is the best Twice for real. This song had some serious 34+35 by Ariana vibes. Feels weird to say but it is what it is, Booty call Twice hits different
Also, Twice does have a history of including references to their past in their M/Vs but I think, in this instance, you were probably right in guessing that these are easter eggs for their next release. As another commenter mentioned, they have featured cats in past M/Vs (particularly recently), but I can't recall any specific focus on butterflies, lock & key imagery, etc. The other thing that makes me feel like this is setting up their next single, is that this is a "pre-release english track". I'm guessing that the teases will be paid off in the M/V for the Korean comeback single. Or I could be completely wrong, who knows?😁
The only butterflies I remembered was for their Japanese MV, Fanfare, where they have a few butterflies scenes (mainly Nayeon's parts), and near to the end. butterflies for each member's official color.
