Nice to see you guys start an ebike channel too! I loved the regular biker’s edge channel, subscribed to this channel too =] man u made really want a heckler now..
Loved my Heckler until it was stolen and loving my Trance now As I consider an emtb, your comments at the end have me headed to my Santa Cruz dealer soon. Thanks!
I really really wanted this bike. But like specialized. ZERO VALUE at $8750-$10000. I could buy another GasGas ex250F for this money. Everything costs way more than necessary. So I bought another brand with the exact same EP8 motor and 630 wh battery for $4400. Then spent $1100 to upgrade the suspension. It was actually fine with the stock suspension. But now I have a EMTB just as capable and fun for $3300 less than this. Not a chance in hell that this bike is 3300-5000 dollars more fun. Inflation sucks
I’m really torn between this bike (R) and the Nukeproof Megawatt 297 Factory. Have you had a chance to ride the Nukeproof ? Looks like it has better components but a smaller 630 battery
As far as range goes, I had the previous version Heckler MX. seemed to have great range until you get to the last two bars on the display. Those last two disappeared in about two miles and the battery was empty. I’m not sure if they’ve fixed for this version but I don’t think so. I’ve heard similar issues with other Heckler owners, including the current version ☹️.
Pretty standard with e bike across the board. Just like a tank of gas, the first half of the battery lasts longer than the last half. Also wouldn’t be a problem Specific to the Heckler, rather the Shimano drive system.
@@BikersEdgeKaysville You might be correct regarding it being an EP8 issue but not across the board. My 2022 Levo SL (I replaced the Heckler MX with this) is consistent in displaying the remaining battery from 100% to empty 🤔.
Probably. You’d want to make sure with Santa Cruz that it’s not going to cause any warranty issues. Head tubes are only rated for certain travel lengths most of the time.
Why are you limited on where you ride? Jk not into Ebikes but I like your content and other channel so have this a follow 😂 just being annoying and bored.
Hello, I think the bike is ugly, I ordered the new Cube One 55 SLT because it has better equipment, a larger battery with the same weight, more modern geometry and cheaper. I don't think this bike lives up to its name.
You are dead on with this review soooooo poppy and fun it's just a blast
Still one of the best to date.

You won’t regret it.
Another great fun and informative review. Thanks

Great video!! Trying to choose between this and a Levo expert carbon ….. is there a big difference in power and performance between the motors ? ?
Not sure. Haven’t ridden the specialized. Can’t really say.
Yeah, let's see a MX vs 29 video!
It’s on the main channel already. I’ll get it up here as well!

I haven’t ridden a nukeproof. We don’t carry those at the shop so it’s tough to get time on one.

Not the case with the Levo. The 9th bar is the same as the 3rd bar. Pretty bad that Shimano can’t figure this out. It is all software.
New version compared to the 27.5 2021 with ep8 worth upgrading?
For me it is. The 29 is nice. The suspension design is vastly better.
Would the geo work with 170mm forks on the mullet ? Thanks

would like to see the MX WHEEL in action !
We did the showdown on the main channel quite a while ago. Go check it out there.
@@BikersEdgeKaysville the ebike MX wheel ?
Yes. We did the Heckler MX vs 29
@eBiker's Edge great video thanks
Glad you liked it!
Which Heckler how much they make different Models
This is a bit of a custom build. I purposely don’t review an individual model. Is more about the bike than the components.
Why not just make a flip chip sticker?
Haha. This got me.
Must get heckled every time your on the trail.
Nah. Too fast for people to even say anything.
Naw, people are chill in Santa Cruz
