I used to watch the original, which is a beloved classic. I did read the manga from Rumiko Takahashi as well, since the original animated series covered just a handful of "arcs". One could make an argument for that woman being for "romcom" what Akira Toriyama has been for battle shonen. Admittedly I have yet to sit and watch this recent remake. So far few clips (and two reactions) of the first episode is all I've seen of it. I'm still not sure if I'm liking it more of [how I remember] the original so far, but time will tell.
The re-adaptation is faster paced, each episode doing 2 manga chapters, whereas the original had to add padding to make 1 chapter fill a whole episode. Sometimes the old anime's padding made things too slow, sometimes it added characterization. The new series never gets slow, and looks nicer overall, but sometimes cuts scenes a little short. I've been doing an episode by episode comparison, and I like both.
The tour guide was showing them the springs but you're not actually supposed to train there anymore. Some local tribes (or at least the Amazons) do though because it has always been an important training ground for ancient people.
@@MaliceInCandyland I don't think you have an agenda or are looking to start fights. I just think you are presenting a lot of things as facts that are either highly opinion based and very far from standard perception or just plain wrong. I'm also here to enjoy a great show, which is why I keep crossing your comments. And its happened enough now that I recognize and converse with you easily compared to others, we are now online acquaintances. You're seeing malice where there is none. I do think a lot of the stuff you say is going to give people the wrong idea about the show, like your notes on Ranma being able to explore his feminine side. And you often say stuff that is just wrong, like Ranma wearing feminine undergarments in the photos during the whole early Kuno thing in the 80/90s anime when he doesn't, I have the episodes to confirm that and did. So I'm just pointing out that that is not the case. In this case I am applauding you for actually sharing something that is correct after a lot of misinformation. There is no fight here, there is no malice here and I'm sick of living in a world where everyone seems only able to perceive evil in others. One of the most important things I've learned in my life is that more often than not people who do the wrong thing aren't doing it out of evil, they're doing it out of incompetence, ignorance or stupidity. Which means they don't need to be punched in the face, they need to have the situation explained to them in a way they can understand, or in some cases just have something they didn't notice pointed out (which was me a lot during my childhood, autism is a real struggle sometimes)
@@Phaeton635 You could stand to be a lot more polite about it. You often word comments very gatekeepy and rude. A simple polite correction is sufficient.
@@MaliceInCandyland I'll admit my initial interactions were a bit charged as I had to reach a high emotional state in order to start interaction in the first place. However due to a lack of emojis in my communication the vast majority of what I say being rude comes down to how you or anyone else chooses to interpret my words. To me, my words are just that, words. You and everyone else is welcome to your own opinions and to share them, just keep in mind, that's what they are, opinions. As someone who lives in a constant state of noone understanding what they are saying I often need to say things quite a few times with a lot of different words resulting in long rambles just to hope one of these manages to get the point I'm making across so people don't get upset at something I never actually said. Anyway since this is entirely on your perception I have no way of knowing what words you perceive as "gatekeepy and rude" so unless you can point them out to me, I won't be able to learn from this and avoid them in the future. And by the way you're communications seem aggressive, impulsive and childish to me, I normally wouldn't mention this as I know that they probably aren't meant to come across that way and give the benefit of the doubt. Frankly I don't like having to go on long rambles like this to explain myself, I wind up spending a long time on them that I could spend doing other things. But i also don't really have the ability to aim my focus where it should be at any given time. Which is part of the reason why I'm always watching videos like this on the side of my main activity.
There are people that will swear that it is Ranma Half, but that would be Nibun no Ranma. The title is Ranma Nibun no Ichi, which is Ranma One Half.
Actually, it's "Ranma ½"
Easy mistake.
Thanks for the help!
It’s always ranma one half.
I'm excited to see more people getting into this show!
Yes! Glad we decided to pick it up! Really enjoying it so far

You'll have to let us know your thoughts when you get a moment to check it out

As a person who was solely into the manga, the original anime was okay but the remake seems to fit the pacing a lot better.
Late to the party but glad you could make it😂 ❤
Lol thanks! Good to be here
I just saw all seven of the episodes that were currently out so far last night!
Niicceee!! Welcome lol it’s definitely a great time

That is actually right, how about that, you gave correct information.
