I think you'd really like Rock with you! I'd also recommend Fallin flower because the aesthetic is crazy and Anyone because I feel like it's a bit forgotten but the whole fandom completely broke down when it was released and you'll quickly understand why. Thanks for you reactions they're so fun :) As for the MVs, you've got many different types in Kpop, it can be very simple, with an actual story or sometimes with lots of elements just for the sake of it, but the main thing is that the production is always super high level. Whether in videos or live performances, Kpop is a lot more visual than western pop I'd say
Everything about Kpop is over the top which is why I love it. "Super" was more of a performance video so it wasn't as crazy, but this is a typical Kpop video. Some groups have a storyline/universe throughout all their videos. Others have concepts for an album. You need to watch the video multiple times to decipher the story and find references. There are reaction channels which provide info and theories for Kpop videos. The live performances are also on another level (the stages, coreography, costumes, hair, makeup, etc.). It's not just the female artists, the male artists also go all out.
The evolution of Western pop was mostly through the Radio while for Kpop it was through the Television. As a result, Kpop has always had a visual aspect to it, whether it is through inclusion of choreography, high production value of MVs or adding storylines and lore. Personally, I do enjoy and appreciate all the effort put into Kpop MVs. 💜
The song itself represents something like Seventeen stating that this is their new era: they are facing the sun, to climb to the highest of peaks - literally become the sun - and they don’t know how high they’ll climb but they are ready to become whatever the new heights will have them evolve into. But it’s also a hype song lol The music video has a lot of hidden Easter eggs for the fandom but generally the visual theme takes a lot of inspiration from Mad Max. An easy Easter egg - in the beginning there is a bullet that shoots the word “Darling” (which is also the name of one of the songs) which turns it into “Daring”. In terms of the craziness of the video - it’s definitely a stylistic choice and a style common in kpop but certainly not the only style out there. Plus the Seventeen songs you’ve reacted to so far have been pretty hype energetic ones with a bit more chaotic energy lol
I recommend seventeen's song: fallin flower, don't wanna cry, god of music or not alone. I recommend that you react to a guide on seventeen: a super long guide to seventeen version 2023. And if you are interested in reacting to other groups I suggest boy groups: bts, txt, enhypen, ateez, stray kids, exo, oneus, zb1 (zerobaseone), the boyz or &team. And as a girl group I suggest: dreamcatcher, kep1ier, illit, babymonster or loona.
Love your reaction! Please keep reacting to SEVENTEEN 😭💖 They're my absolute faves! In K-pop, they're known for several things: • Kings of Synchronization: All the Seventeen members are incredible dancers and always in sync during performances. •Variety Shows Kings: They've appeared on numerous shows in Korea, Japan, and now China! Audience love them for being entertaining and fun to watch. They even have their own show, 'Going Seventeen' started in 2019, and still airing every Wednesday. •Self-Producing Idols: Seventeen is heavily involved in producing their music. Members write, compose, and produce their songs, showcasing their creativity. •Million Sellers: They've made history as the first K-pop artist to sell over 6 million copies of a single album! You’ve gotta check out their live stages…they're absolutely mind-blowing! Plus, they release dance practice videos for every song, showcasing their incredible dance skills 🔥
love the reaction! if you want to get to know them more the super long guide will be very helpful but I think it's better if you react to unit songs first so that you can know how their unit works or how different vibe they give off. I know you already react to LALALI by HIPHOP UNIT so I recommend the other two unit songs which is Spell by Performance Unit and Cheers to Youth by Vocal Unit. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LOVING SEVENTEEN! SLIP INTO SHINNING DIAMOND LIFE AND WE'LL BE HAPPY TO WELCOME YOU❤
Kpop mv are just superior in everyway. Kpop mv have soooo much story but they have hidden gems relating to the album of other songs or even to future songs music you have to study every scene as well as teasers and even live performances. You have to become Sherlock Holmes
This mv is based off a movie. Ugh i forget the movie's name now lol. But I've seen video editors react to it saying how super amazing this video is edited. Definitely check out more Seventeen 😊
I highly recommend watching falling flower, spell, cheers, _world, and rock with you! The songs are all by seventeen and the music videos are amazing and ofc the vocals and dancing are top tier!!!
Since you have reacted to their Killing voice before, I strongly recommend that you check out other killing voice videos by other kpop groups just to get an idea about this world as a whole. I would suggest: ATEEZ, TWICE, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, BTOB, BIGMAMA,..etc
I completely get what you guys mean about how chaotic the music videos are LMAO I think that's just a K-pop thing to be honest most music videos have a story and a lot of groups have lore/a storyline specific to there group for example Ateez are pirates, Enhypen are vampires and many other groups have other complex stories/themes, some groups even make separate videos specifically for they're storyline. I'm honestly not too sure what seventeens specific storyline/ lore is maybe someone can comment it under this if they know lol, love your videos! I hope I didn't confuse you guys even more or type too much 😭😭😭
Seventeen doesn't have a storyline as far as I know and I actually love it this way because far too many groups have these days... Kpop gets to be like a learning thing, a book or series storyline but I feel like music groups don't need that. It's all so much, that it gets too much and when Seventeen slows down and has one story for one video and doesn't overwhelm you with connections and all that, it's such a relief for me. They focus on choreography and music and that's perfectly fine to me :)
@@whyistheskyblue9422 I agree, although I do love a good storyline, it can get overwhelming at times confusing + messy sometimes too so it’s always refreshing to come across a group like seventeen (which isn’t often lol) !
@@Asami_sathe reason is just the business behind it. At the end the companies all want you to become addicted to the group and watch the Mv as much as possible. So they want to catch the audience with things that they missed, a puzzle to solve, things like that. I myself prefer to focus on the song and their voices instead of the MV only... Sometimes I think it's even better to first just listen to the song and then watch the MV to not get influenced too much by what you see. Music should stay a thing mostly for the ears, secondary for the eyes... But that's just my opinion 😅
@@whyistheskyblue9422 yes, yes, yes! I completely agree especially with the last statement lol! I think that’s also why I enjoy b-sides a lot more than main title tracks they don’t have music Videos and I can focus more on what the music is actually telling me!
that's the uniqueness of K-pop, the mvs and the music, there's a lot of elements going on. It also gives the fans more to ponder on, especially with music videos, it has a lot of hidden cookies you have to look out for. I read in an article a kpop mv production costs ROUGHLY $88,000 or higher. For the HOT mv, Rigend film produced it, for Lalali and all their recent 2024 mvs (Maestro, Spell, Cheers to You) it was SL8 visual lab. Also, a little bit of a heads up too, it can get a bit overwhelming and time-consuming if you start reacting to other groups as well. But of course, your choice of which groups to react to is still at your own discretion. Thank you so much for reacting to SEVENTEEN!!
They're all hot in different ways... They all basically gave up their youth to learn to dance like this 😅 Kpop can be really overwhelming at first, hot is definetely a MV like that, there are more confusing MVs though... (Ateez "work" for example 😂) But ready to love, thanks, don't wanna cry, Rock with you or many other softer songs by them also have "easier" MVs Left and Right and Home Run are pretty packed of different scenes, fun to watch though

You seem to really like Hot a lot and had a lot of good questions about it. Try watching the Face the Sun Comeback Show. You learn a lot about the songs on that album, especially Hot. The Face the Sun Highlight Medley is good too.
i understand the music videos can be a bit overwhelming because there's just so much going on lol. i'd recommend Spell and Cheers To Youth, since you watched LALALI. Spell is a song by the Performance Team which consists of four of the members ,(Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino) while Cheers To Youth is a song by the Vocal Team which has the remaining 5 members(Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan). and for a group song Maestro would be the one to watch, it's their most recent comeback(term we use when idols/k-pop groups release new music/new album). Enjoy! :)
I know you are getting alot of suggestions for different groups but i would recommend first focusing on svt ( also would love if you did the 4 part long guide ) but if you want would recommend ateez killing voice next
