Despite the fact that this is no longer relevant, after a few months I decided to make a video of one of my favorite ships in Star Citizen - the Mercury Star Runner. I did it because I wanted to tell this little story that is relevant to my life at the moment. And also I wanted to do it through the prism of the ship as a character. Through visual storytelling, music, camera movements and camera angles.

Несмотря на то, что это уже не актуально, спустя несколько месяцев я всё же решил сделать видео по одному из самых любимых моих кораблей в Star Citizen - Меркурию. Решил потому, что мне захотелось рассказать эту небольшую историю, актуальную для моей жизни в данный момент. И сделать я это захотел через призму корабля, как персонажа. Через визуальное повествование, движения камеры, музыку и ракурсы.

Great video man. I don't know what story it is for you but it felt like a sad one to me. Like there had once be action and laughter on the ship but now people have left or moved on, leaving the ship in a state of cold and loneliness. Just my subjective take :) But it was emotive to me in that way, so perhaps says more about my state of mind ha.

Godly transition wipes and editing
Wow. That was incredible. The transitions, the music, the shots. I never had hype for the MSR even when it came out. I melted my redeemer down one day and got myself one and it speaks to me in a way no other ship does. Its just such a fantastic ship. Fun to fly, gorgeous in and out. I no longer wonder why its a favorite in the SC community. This video sums up the MSR experience so well. Good stuff.

Beautiful vid. I already have an MSR so I didn't need to be sold on it but when TH-cam recommended it, it looked worth checking out. Nice transitions overall. I really liked the touch of editing the comms panel to have the Patreon supporters.
I thought the last transition to the MSR landed in a hangar gives people the wrong impression of what it's like to come in during a blizzard at New Babbage and have ATC think that 34cm of clearance off each wing is enough to land. And then your friend in a 125a comes in and they give them a tower hangar large enough to land a Reclaimer in.

It's been a year and a half... I hope you're still alive! Maybe you just burned out on SC around the same time I did, who knows. Your videos do restore my faith in what SC could be if CIG ever gets off their butts and finishes it, though. (And turns off the half-billion-dollar money faucet... not likely.) Anyway, this video is great like all the others... the crown jewel is that long multi-cut tracking shot towards the end, accompanied by that "epic swell" that you do so perfectly, zooming in as the music gets heavy. Man. You're the best. Come back to us! :)

Wow!!!! This is extremely well done!!! You, Space Tomoto and Morphologist make the best cinematic videos for star citizen that I have seen thus far. really like the story telling in this and the music choice. Must have been difficult to match that angle for those transitions!!!

i mean, your transition should be in the books for people studying editing, honestly. I have watched so many tutorials on editing, tried myself at it, but no one talks about how much work goes into making it look this smooth. prolly watched 30 times already.

Один совет - когда вставляешь объекты для переходов, добавь им Motion Blur и Focus Distance, потому как сейчас смотрятся такие переходы "искусственными". В реальности камера не может так молниеносно перефокусироваться между ближним, дальним объектом. При этом хочу отметить, что пролет корабля сквозь разные локации при сохранении акцентированной на объекте камеры и фокусировке сделано на достойном уровне! З.Ы. ФПС конечно в игре на прежнем уровне (((
Доб: Даже не сколько фокусировку и размытость подредактировать, а увеличить размер объекта в переходе, как например 2:33, увеличь в 2,5 раза объект, сделай его темней, чтобы акцент сохранялся на корабле и будет отлично. Так же при переходе от темной к яркой сцене можно добавить эффект "выход из тунеля", когда человеческий глаз адаптируется к яркому свету после темного, так называемая световая вспышка и последующая стабилизация светочувствительности.
