- My dad and I go fishing in a private community pond that he heard about. The guy who told him claims that this pond has the BIGGEST bass that he's ever caught in all of Maryland. Our very first time fishing here, and I will say... I now understand why he said that!

I grew up in this neighborhood this pond is in, there are some monster fish in there and it’s loaded with fish. There are Christmas trees in the middle and other spots around the pond that a neighbor put in there years ago, always big fish hanging out in there. The deepest spot is 6 feet in the center, it’s very shallow and mucky bottom. I fished here my whole life and yes, there are MASSIVE snapping turtles in there.

Hey - I fished that pond. Buddy told me about it but failed to mention it is posted "Resident's Only". Since I drove a hour to get there I figured may as well fish it. From that dock I caught 3 decent fish in a 2 hour span. Then got the hell out of there. I could feel the eyeballs of the wealthy residents watching me thinking "he's not one of us"

Kind of funny that your Dad is a doctor and you were using a buzzbait. Whenever I go to see my doctor for bloodwork I ask him to let me keep the rubber tourniquet band. I take that and cut it up into small squares to hold my trailer hooks on my buzzbaits ! Happy New Year, Brother,MUCH love to you and your family =)
