Hey! omg I'm freaking out because I'm applying to Brown this fall and am a current cheer captain at my school. I've really wanted to know what cheer and the spirit program is like at Brown, especially game day scenarios and how practices run. I've never known or heard of anything about cheer at Brown so I would love to learn more about it!
First of all thank you so much for replying❗️and second, a video showing what you would normally eat for breakfast lunch and dinner at the dining halls would be pretty cool. But really anything showing what the dining hall food at Brown is like would be good. Thank you‼️

I wanted to know about the cognitive neuroscience class, would you and Nate recommend it? I have always been interested in neuroscience and psychology ( virology too)
I thought I would concentrate in Cog Neuro for a while but have decided on pursuing Neuroscience itself! Haha but I definitely learned a lot in the class! My final exam is Tuesday, so we’ll see how that goes :) I believe Nate is sticking with Cog Neuro as his concentration! The class is focused on a lot of experimental methods and cognitive research. It definitely won’t hurt to take an intro class to get a feel for the topic before you commit :)
Can you make a video about the party scene at brown, or insert a mini talk in some vlog? I am not a big party person, and I definitely am not looking to do drugs either, and not sure how that would fit with brown! Also is that Word at 4:18? That is so cool I never knew you can make different sections haha!

My friends and I hang out all the time with movie nights, occasional parties, dinner dates, etc. I will def dedicate a video to answering that soon! And at 4:18, I am using OneNote! Saved my life this semester haha. I didn't know about it last semester.

P K we don’t require anyone to have experience prior to trying out! The expectations vary from school to school, but Brown Cheerleading is open to learning.
Ok I gave a genuine question, how are you able to miss so many lectures? Like do you find the notes from other people? Or do you just teach yourself what you missed?
Valid question lol. I can get notes from friends, but I find it more beneficial to myself if I read through the textbook. I’ve taught myself entire courses before in high school so I find it more manageable to teach myself what I missed. Math is relatively easy to catch up on since lectures are in line with the textbook. Human Evolution lecture slides are posted on the class page online. Biology is on lecture capture. I just had to put in more work for chem and cog neuro, relative to my other courses.
How is cheerleading in college? I have never been in cheer but i am in jrotc at my highschool so im super active. I was thinking about joining cheer in college as well but im like super conflicted!
How come you don't talk about or show anything related to you joining/being a sister of Delta Gamma? It'd be fun to see/hear about your involvement with Greek Life in addition to all of your other activities, especially since you're at an Ivy =)
Thank you so much for bringing that up!! We are actually a brand new chapter on campus! I didn’t do formal rush since DG’s rush period was a month after the regular rush period. I’m part of the founding class. There hasn’t been much organization since we’re just getting the groove of things. Our big events this year were initiation and twin reveal, and I couldn’t record anything about initiation. Buttttt next semester is the first semester where DG will have a sorority house on campus, and I definitely plan on incorporating more talk about Greek life!! 😄 starting with a house tour, of course.
if you dont mind me asking im 13 years old and really interested in going to brown to be an epidemiologist and i was wondering if you have to have a cheerleading scholarship to join cheerleading in college or can you just join pls help.

We don't recruit for cheerleading, so no there is no cheerleading scholarship. There's a tryout at certainly every school.
